3. You'd BETTER read what the NYT says today:
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 07:34 AM by neutron
First, yesterday's FRONT PAGE in NYT talks about how
he fucked up the Nuclear Safety bill in his own district,
then Nuke interests contributed several hundred thousand dollars
to his senate campaign.

Then he lied in Iowa bragging that it passed.

But read what our foremost economist says about his
Health Plan:

If you combine the economic analysis with these political realities, here's what I think it says: If Mrs. Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, there is some chance -- nobody knows how big -- that we'll get universal health care in the next administration. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won't happen

4. I've known about his connections for quite some time
He supports nuclear energy. Well, so do I. But he has voted on behalf of crooked nuclear companies who sought to get special rule waivers. And I certainly do NOT support that; these practices are even scorned by the (responsible) nuclear industry.

He's also a major point-man for the "Clean Coal" lobby. Promotes the Fischer-Tropsch process for coal gasification, an inherently wasteful, filthy industrial process.

Here's what I can't understand. He's more conservative than Hillary, but his followers all scream that Hillary is the sword of the DLC. Several prominent anti-nuclear activists are enthusiastic supporters. He's comfortable with some intense anti-gay bigots. But Bill Clinton kisses up to a bastard in exchange for $130 million for his charitable foundation, and it's the scandal of the year.

But that's what happens with a money-driven media environment, voters who would rather feel good than think, and an otherwise remarkable statesman who has never been criticized for his mistakes. It is a sad scenario, indeed.

And it just may succeed.

5. Well Pidgewigeon, if he gets the nomination, these guys will not know what hit them

Obama will become the opposite of what he thought he was and they'll be distraught.
