1. Remember when we used to make fun of Bush over stuff like that?

3. Yeah, unfortunately. Guess that means
they're all going to be doing this now.

Though I haven't seen a Hillary halo yet.

Though they manage to air brush out the horns in every pic.

4. Because like with Bush, photographers like to capture visually-striking images.
They take hundreds of photographs per event. Like Bush and his halos, they like to pull one of these occasionally.

6. It's not just the photographer, it's Obama's P.R. and graphics people.
No way was that circle shape done unintentionally. They planned for Obama to be standing in front of it.

9. That "circle shape" is his logo. It's an O. Like Obama.
And "standing in front of it?" Um, yeah. They did plan for it to be in the same room as he was. You can form a line through any two points.

5. Any photographer would try to get such a photo
it's visually interesting. Having the circle offset behind him would look bad.

I always thought it was stupid to complain about "halo" pics, no matter who the subject is.

7. The P.R. people know that and take advantage of it.
Why wasn't the sign behind him shaped like a square or a rectangle? This was designed to have exactly the effect it had.

10. Because Obama doesn't start with a square. That's his logo. Go to his website.

12. Regardless, the photo doesn't work as well as other 'haloes' cause it's not golden or light
it's a mundane red, white blue logo.

bleech!

Why do you hate America?

18. I'm neutral with regard to Obama and Clinton.
I just found the picture unfortunately reminiscent of so many Bush photos.

13. Photographers get bored. This clever cameraman got a shot of Ashcroft...
with a horn coming out of his head.

And this one has him making a silly face
