Obama just said that John Edwards was bragging on himself
when Edwards said his biggest weakness was his passion for the poor.
Just saw the clip on CNN.

1. Obama had humility when he answered that question
Edwards didn't. It was a pat on the back answer for Edwards.

3. You took his comment out of context
I was there. He praised Edwards for lifting the issues of poverty and working folks onto the national radar screen and said "we are proud" of what John did. He then, admittedly choosing bad timing, began talking about the Vegas debate and Edwards' and Clinton's responses to the "what is your greatest weakness" question and contrasted his response to theirs by saying their responses are an example of what happens if you stay in Washington too long.

4. He COMPLIMENTED Edwards first saying he had done so much to bring
poverty to the forefront and had run a great campaign. And he was not slamming Edwards, he was joking about wanting a do-over for the question about your greatest weakness after hearing Edwards and Clintons answers.

6. Sure he was.
I am kind of amazed at how many of his statements have to be explained.

8. Was that the one in which Obama corageously admitted that he
had a messy desk? God only knows how many voters he lost by being so mercilessly honest about his own worst failings.
