Robert Gibbs, of Dean/Osama infamy, is the man behind Obama's message

Interesting to read that Robert Gibbs is Obama's message-maker. This is the guy who was part of the group that produced the sickening ad painting Dean as an inexperienced terror-appeaser, with a big bugaboo image of Osama Bin Laden.

It looked more like a Karl Rove production than a Democratic ad. Maybe this is why Gibbs is so keen on "unity with Republicans". After all, he already thinks and acts like them.

Anyway, you can watch the original ad on Youtube here.

And here's the Washington Post on the subject:

...Rage against Gibbs has to do with Gibbs's involvement during the '04 cycle in the secretive 527 political group "Americans for Jobs, Health Care and Progressive Values," which created the infamous Osama bin Laden ad attacking Dean for lacking military and foreign affairs experience.

In his blog posting, Armstrong called the ad "the single most disgusting ad I've ever seen occur in a Democratic primary." He suggested that Gibbs is two-faced, asking, "Does Gibbs still believe that a Presidential candidate with 'no military or foreign policy experience' is 'unqualified'? Then how, Gibbs, is Barack Obama going compete with John McCain on foreign policy?"...

2. Liar. Or Disingenuous at best. Gibbs was the spokesman for a group that produced that ad.

He had, as far as any relevant info I've seen, nothing to do with that ad.
