1. I hope people see this utter nonsense for what it is. Actors learn to cry on cue
why not a politician? It worked for her before when she was behind in the polls, why not try it again?

Get simpleminded women who can't look at the ISSUES and vote behind the woman because she is being picked on.

Doesn't say much for the intelligence quotient of my gender.

Appalling!

Can anyone SERIOUSLY watch this and NOT think it was genuine??? It was hardly a big teary moment anyway... I'm SOOOOO SICK of what's going on here with the Hillary bashing... There is some discourse toward Obama, agreed but it's not as mean spirited and childish as the Hillary bashers...

It's so out of hand here...I've got to step away from this board until the nom is picked...

16. WTF?
It doesn't say much for anyone's intelligence to make such blanket insults.

Personally, I don't think Hillary's that good an actor. Crying on cue is not as easy as you think. And because of our hormones, I think we have all experienced crying at the most inopportune times, because of our conviction and compassions. I'm old enough to be proud of my emotions now. They used to make me feel weak. The last thing I do is feel sorry for a woman crying. I just understand it.

If Obama shed a tear, some DUers would build him a statue to commemorate the event.

9. I though it was ironic ...

I thought it was ironic that Hillary does not want to be stereotypical. Then she got what she wanted (the New Hampshire primary) by crying.

I can hear Ricky Ricardo (Heerary!!!!)..

14. JC!!! When are you people going to lighten up and start
campaigning for your members of Congress. We may end up with a Republican pres but we can control him if we have a real majority in Congress.

Let's forget the petty crap and get to work!! BTW - I am not for either candidate but will vote for the nominee

22. Can you back that up with facts?
Because if you can't, this is a pretty disgusting display of bullshit I'd expect from extremist Republicans.

I'm a trained actor (I used this term "even though" I'm a woman as I feel all actors deserve the same treatment and nomenclature). I can cry on cue. It's not that easy. Most actors use glycerin drops for tears. Clearly Hillary didn't do this as it would have been obvious to the viewer.

It couldn't possibly be that she is under stress, now, could it? It couldn't possibly be she is tired, now, could it? It couldn't possibly be that she is a human being with feelings, now, could it?

Why would anyone vote for the least honest candidate?

Bush is dishonest.

People make there decisions on the honesty of a candidate.

This uncertainty in a politicians honesty makes transition to another candidate a little easier, if your first choice drops out.

24. Stereotype
Supposedly, men make decisions based on rational thought and analysis, women are ruled by their emotions.

Presidents, kings, commanders-in-chief etc are required to be cool-headed and rational.

Ergo, a woman who aspires to any of those roles must show that she can keep her emotions firmly under control.

28. She should keep cool headed and rational like St. McCain. Like Bush. Cheney.
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 05:17 PM by Bongo Prophet
Actually, I think sen. Clinton can be cold as ice in the BEST sense, when dealing with enemies.
This is one of her impressive traits, along with a deep knowledge of issues and ability to think on her feet.

That she gets a bit verklempt in a setting like this, it is both appropriate and shows character.

I am not in anyone's camp, just calling it straight up.
edit to add - the subject line was pure sarcasm.
Hard to tell these days, I know. Just wanna be clear.
