Obama: "Yes, I'm reaching out to Republicans -because they want to switch teams!"
And he is right.

How many republicans are in the wrong party, realize the war is wrong, they are getting poorer, no jobs coming back, katrina voodoo coming down -and they want to leave.

How many?

And they are not, not, not going to go with Hillary and a restless Bill Clinton in the WH again. They won't.

But they may vote for Obama.

4. Because they havent been offered a real alternative until now
And Hillary isnt an alternative.

She's just the same thing they want to get away from with a (D) behind her name on the ballot.

10. They were still thinking the GOP would fix the mess (they're slow learners)
Instead they've now come to realize its going to take something more than another typical triangulating politician to enact change.

8. Go to Freepland some time
Everyone there is decrying the "fake" Republicans they know who "whisper about supporting Obama."

Even if he drew away 5%, the black energized vote and a small uptick in youth gives us a crushing victory in Nov.

He knows it will take inspiring people to work with him, people across race, gender and party lines.

6. Obama has the right experience and
good instincts about what our country needs to begin its healing path and people who think for themselves can sense that.

16. probably so
I suspect many Republicans will switch teams, now that they've pretty much raped the country. When George Bush became President, he hit the ground running, armed with lawyers. He never made a concession on anything. Now that it appears that the Dems have a chance, MSM and the establishment want to make sure that the nominee will be bipartisan and soothing; a feel good candidate, if you will. They don't want to risk everything George has worked so hard for by letting the Presidency go to someone they know will tirelessly try to get the country back on the right track.

26. Ae you kidding?
Bill covered up and stopped investigations into BCCI, Iraq, Iran/Contra, CIA drugrunning. Just so he would get the support of the 'centrists'.

Hillary will do exactly the same, for the same reason.

The republicans who are going to Obama want to STOP the criminality.

18. We can choose to split the Republican vote or unify it.
This is an easy choice. Obama represents the ability to split Republicans. Hillary represents the horror of uniting them behind anyone they run.

20. Give me a effin break.....
....I am one of those Republicans who came over because I liked Edwards....

Do you really think we are going to vote for a man with empty rhetoric? For that matter Hillary is the same, but I must say as eloquent as obama is in his speeches, he says absolutely nothing. You have to be a dead head in a trance to vote for this person.

Folks Edwards is still on the ballot in most of the Tuesday primary states. If he is not on the ballot, then vote undecided or if you can write him in do that. But if he is on the ballot for sure vote for his name John Edwards.

23. Well, I know a few republicans in the 'burbs who have switched to Hillary.
Their homes are now in foreclosure. They've seen first hand how the Republican economy has treated them (upper middle class voters). They see exactly what it feels like when their government doesn't care and there is no safety net for them to fall back on. That's fine with me, so long as they do see the light and stop voting against their own economic interests.
