I've got a bad feeling about NJ/NY for Obama
I want him to make it close, but this NY Giants parade could really fuck things up for Obama, because I feel like the people most likely to go to this event is males, especially younger males, which is a group Obama does very well in. I feel like there may be a depressed turnout for this group of people and could hurt Obama today.

4. That is what the republicans have been doing
in the last few election cycles. They send out fliers giving the wrong dates, locations, etc. for prospective voters. Mostly, they do that to minorities.

Thanks for showing us your true colors.

34. Yes, they DO want to run against him.....
he's their best chance of retaining the White House. The Reich-wing attack machine is drooling over the prospect of having Obama in their cross-hairs. He's a tabula rasa to most Americans, but believe me, the Reich-wing has not been listening to all the warm, fuzzy speeches and getting all misty-eyed about Obamania. They're plotting their attack strategy down to the last adjective. The media LOVES Obama. Doesn't that set off a few warning klaxons with people? It should. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. The corporate media has been selecting our Presidents for decades now. And they hate mean old Hillary and love the fresh, hope filled, starry-eyed Obama. Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

Polls to the contrary, in the anonymity of a voting booth I believe many Americans would sooner shove red-hot pokers in their eye sockets than vote for Barack Hussein Obama. Anyone who doesn't believe that is hopelessly naive. To think that Americans have somehow made an abrupt change in their modus operandi since the last election is ludicrous.

Certainly there's not much connection this year between the polls and reality. She has at least as much chance in the General as Obama--it's just that the MSM hasn't started their full-court sliming of Obama yet.

And giving out wrong info. just to keep her from voting--even if she is your ex -- that's just low.

NJ is in play and in addition to the parade, there is an event at Giants Stadium at 2:30, and that could screw things up too.

On the other hand, if the patriots had won, there would be a parade in MASS

and MASS is up for grabs as well, except it isn't a home state for Hillary, so it's more important to win in terms of expectations

losses in New york and New jersey would just be seen by pundits as, 'oh whatever, its her home state(s)'

same as Barack winning Illinois

all the depressed young male Patriots fans will have nothing better to do than vote for Obama

I don't really think it helps Hillary much to win New Jersey or New york by wide margins

delegates aren't even important anymore

the media will decide who the 'winner' is, based on expectations, and if Barack can win some other big states, he will have the 'momentum', get fundraising, superdelegate support, etc.

this entire process is media driven

There is more than one person in this thread using republican tactics.

It will be interesting to remember this thread after Clinton takes nineteen or twenty states, and Obama supporters are whining and pointing out how many delegates their guy won.

29. Yes, what I know of NYC, it will go strongly Obama
Clinton numbers are more upstate and suburbs, delegate count may be close or even Obama. Just my hunch. Some people may be surprised how well Obama does in the city.

Many New Yorkers may actually be capable of both attending a parade and voting, by the way. I plan to go to bed at 5 am, get up by 11, vote, maybe do some literature handouts, teach and then attend a returns party (or two).
