I do mean 100% in both categories. It's a good thing I don't feel too strongly one way or the other, but the contrasts are striking. I really do see the generational rift first hand between what my parents think of the candidates and what my friends think. They are all united behind one common purpose though: Get a Democrat in the White House.

For a little tidbit: All of my Republican friends are for McCain to a man. They can't stand Mittens or the Huckster. Some say they will stay home or even vote Democratic this year.

EDIT: I should clarify that when I say all of my family supports Clinton, that includes me, though I am by far the weakest supporter of her in my whole family.

And we run the gamut from real socialists to center left. EVERYONE is voting for Hillary on the experience issue. My friends also are voting for her. That's why it's confusing to me on this board - so much Obama support that I just don't see in my own little world. It can't be that she's our senator as I'm including family from California, Florida, Colorado (and I was most suprised by this vote for Hillary). There are two that say they wont vote for Obama in the general but the rest of us are sure we can change that around.

But in the end, it's your vote and your decision. Do some research. Decide which issues are important to you. Try to filter out the "X candidate is evil" stuff and concentrate on the positives and negatives of each candidate. Then, vote.

You don't have to be a strong advocate of who you vote for if you don't want to argue with whichever side disagrees with you. You don't even have to tell them who you voted for if you don't want to. It's a personal choice.

I'm also torn for a lot of reasons - most of them good. It's a matter of who I like more, not who is less of a disappointment. Either way, I figure I can't make a bad choice. Either way, I won't not upset if my choice loses. Either way, I'll gladly work my butt off to make sure whoever wins the Dem nomination also wins the general election.

This is the kind of tough choice I like to be stuck with. Not a bad dilemma at all, actually.

For me I did not consider my emotional reaction until I critically examined the stituation. Please don't think I am pulling anyone's chain, because I don't mean to. Which one signals a dramatic shift as to what America's values looks like to the rest of the world, including Europe and the Middle East? A Black man who conventional wisdom says that "no he shouldn't" although he is, or the highly connected Wife of a recent President?

No matter what their policies on details like health plan, which one has a more realistic way of getting their proposed plan through congress...because that is the health plan you will get no matter about good intentions?

Who's judgement do you trust when it comes to deciding on issues such as War and Peace?

Who would have coattails in November to provide us with a super working majority against the Republicans? The charismatic unifying and optimist (any is possible) Obama or the Safe but seen as divisive and calculating Hillary?

I know who'd I vote for.

a Safe vote provides for small returns, if any at all.

a Bold vote is for those who understand that it takes that kind of action to affect change.

46. The generational rift was very obvious in Iowa.

You could see it in the room at the caucuses I saw. Barack had people of all ages and races but mostly younger. Every single person in the Clinton corner was white and over 50. Most looked over 65.
