6. sounds like fun
My primary is town meeting day and we always have lunch too- pot luck. There are always some wonderful things- I usually bring my curried rice salad with shrimp and peanuts- and some god awful lime jello salad things.

7. Two more NY votes for Clinton
Of course, getting past the Giants fans (WOOHOO!!!) to vote was a challenge in itself.

10. Here they opened earlier

I work in midtown and live downtown so I had to run home at lunch to vote, and so many streets were blocked off it was hard to get to the polling place. But a few blockades weren't going to stop me. :patriot:

Just talked to my sister and she voted for Clinton as well.

EDIT: I stand corrected by another poster - polls opened at 6 AM apparently.

Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 03:32 PM by ElsewheresDaughter
there is just something that makes me feel secure when I pull that lever that closes the curtain and then pull those little ones to cast my vote...sigh.

but at least NY voted for a paper trail e voting machine and no to the DRE's

YES WE CAN!

edited for spelling

13. I'm going to miss those machines also
Been voting on them since 1976. And I agree about paper trails - New York did the right thing there.

16. Ditto for me also.
I cast my first votes on those lever machines before I moved west for many years only to return to NY about 5 years ago.

I love them.
