I suggest we stop responding to malicious attacks on people who are seeking the Dem nomination.
I am NOT asking the moderators to prevent the posting of whatever I personally consider to be malicious. However, if we would like to see an end to these nasty and pointless criticisms, then we should simply stop replying.

If a DU member posts a malicious attack on someone who is seeking the Democratic nomination and no one responds, then that DU member is likely to either use a different posting style or go away.

If you feel that this is a personal attack on you, then please post to let me know. I might need to revise this OP while it is still possible to edit it.

4. Cat-herding
Even if you organize 1000 members the newbies will kick those threads every single day.

If there was a "critical mass" of ignores (say 500?) that got people temporarily banned, that might work.

5. Good advice. Let them sink like a stone! (That goes for both candidates)

6. Kick because a helpful reminder is not necessarily controversial enough to spark discussion.

7. 27 hidden threads and 11 ignored
Yesterday I started getting rid of every obnoxious discussion and now this is a much nicer place. Oddly enough, once the insulting threads were gone very few new junk threads have been started. I've only hidden one today.
