Why Hillary is best positioned to help Dems in GE.
Hillary, by her campaign statements thus far is much better positioned to work for and support an Obama nomination than Obama is positioned to work for and support a Clinton nomination. Obama made the foolish statement that he would get Hillary supporters' votes while he didn't think that Hillary would get the votes of his supporters. This alone tells me who really is putting the party and the nation first as opposed to personal success. I have only heard Hillary say that she believes she is the best candidate based on experience.

4. BULLSHIT. McCain is so hated, NO ONE will show up to vote for him!
But go ahead and keep pushing that Right Wing meme.

15. Whoever has the best campaign wins
Bush and Reagan proved that. Hillary (or Obama) will win if their campaign is better than the Republican one. So far, both Clinton (and even more so, Obama) have proven to be capable of running very formidable campaigns.

2. Unfortunately, Obama's statement is correct.
He's getting Republican crossover votes - it's highly unlikely they would vote for Hillary in the general.

3. You don't really think that most of those Republicans voting for Obama
in the Primaries will actually vote for him in the GE, do you?

Yep, we're all dumb as friggin' stumps.
That's why the presumptive candidate isn't presumptive anymore.

7. Do you really think they're all Republican operatives?
What about the independents? Are they on the Rovian payroll too?

praying for Obama to win. They can't have Hillary out there stumping for them.

Hillary is exactly what the Repukes need on the Ticket. Don't fool yourself

9. I think you don't understand. For instance in my state, Hill couldn't win here, but Obama
could be in the running. I live in MT. WEb have a Dem Gov, 2 Dems Senators, but we have a ton of independents, and most of them don't like Hillary.

Obama wouldn't be a shoe in but the state would be in play. Hillary on the other hand, doesn't stand a chance here. Obama could say, vote for Hill, he could campaign for Hillary here, but it wouldn't matter.

For what ever reason, a lot of people just don't like Hill. I know her supports can't understand this, but honest, it's true.

10. Some people are just purposely misinterpreting things
It is SO obvious to anyone with a pulse that Obama was talking about his proven ability to get independents and Republicans to vote for him. Both Hillary and Barack rightfully assume that each will get the vast majority of solid/traditional Democrats in the general election.

14. you must be completely isolated from the vast numbers of people
who openly express their distaste for everything Clinton.

No candidate has ever won an election with her negatives. If that is enough,

Bill Clinton never won a 1 on 1 national election - he had Perot to split the Republicans.

You can love Hillary, you can believe she would be the best president but if you really think she is best positioned to win a national election you are delusional.
