4. There are about 750 superdelegates so about 40-45%
have pledged to Clinton or Obama. Remember, since they aren't elected as delegates the pledge is just that. They are allowed to change their mind at any time. If they think one candidate will have a better chance in the general election they could change their pledge.
The whole concept of the 'superdelegates' was to act as a brake on the primary process. If, in the great wisdom of the superdelegates the voters had selected someone who was unelectable in the general the supers could act as a bloc to defeat that candidate. So they can change right up to the last second.
