Idiot Voter...
...and she is a friend of mine.

Well, I got a phone call today from a pal of mine who told me that she was one her way from work to go and vote in the our primary ~~ California. Then she said how much she hated Hillary and disliked "that black guy." Sooooooooo....I asked her who she was gonna vote for and she did not know and then said, "I think I am a Republican."

We never discuss politics and I think everyone can see why! To say that she is uninformed is a vast understatment! LOL

1. I had something like this happen too.

A friend of mine called and said: "let's meet at locationX at 7 for the Caucus". Our caucus locations are dependent on party affiliation. We have known each other for 7 years, and I have always known that she is a republican...but I've never really shared my views with her. I told her that I couldn't meet her becuase dh and I would be at "location Y".

She nearly blew a gasket.

"YOU are a democrat. I can't believe it. This really affects the way I see you. I can't believe you are voting for Obama"

"I'm not. I'm voting for Clinton"

She actually swore at me and hung up.

I'm wondering how we'll be able to patch this up.

3. The Republican Party is the party of small minds.
Everything is black/white, now you can't be her friend because you have different political views- sad (on her part). You're ok ;)

7. I don't think she was angry at me....cuz she know I am very, very liberal.
But when I asked her if she is voting for McCain, Romney or Huckabee...she did not recognize any of those names!

Unreal!

2. Ack! Although voting is our right
the ignorant folks who don't know a whit about the candidates and issues should just stay away from the polls.

5. Then she may not be able to vote!
The Repug primary in CA is a closed primary. If you're not registered as a repug you can't get a repug ballot...period. The Dem primary is open. You can request a Dem ballot if you have registered as "decline to state" or undeclared.
