So are Obama voters Republicans?
I have heard over and over again that "If Obama does not win, they will vote McCain." I have not heard any Hillary supporter say that. I don't care what you think of Hillary. If you would vote for another train wreck Repuke before ANY Dem, you really hate our country and I have no respect for you or your choice. It also causes me to wonder what Repuke voters see in Obama that I don't. I've got to think that if Repukes like my candidate, I have the wrong candidate because Repukes hate everything I like and back at them.

13. This Clinton supporrter will not only vote for, but campaign for said sack of dogshit.
Not, of course, that EITHER Hillary or Barak resembles a flaming sack of shit. (despite some opinions here to the contrary)

9. Yes I have as well and it cuts equally both ways so stop trying to make such a wide generalization.
BTW I'll vote for whoever the Dem is, I'm just pulling for Obama.

10. Quite a few people reported today that they got a (R) spouse/friend/relative
to vot Obama today, but they would revert to their party if Clinton wins.

I read that as they are willing to give him a chance, but would rather stick with 4 more years of what they know than go to Hillary (which they think they know).

27. Ah, crossover voters. That's a completely different thing.
Yes, Hillary can't draw crossover voters. I'm sorry, but that'sthe truth. Somebody whose negatives are 48% isn't going to beat out McCain for moderate Republicans who still, for some crazy-ass reason, perceive Johnny McStrangelove as being independently minded. Not that he's not somewhat independent--it's just that he's lost his mind.

I don't know what McCain's negatives are, but I'm willing to bet they're a lot lower than Clinton's. He keeps the moderate Repubs and Repub-leaning indies.

and speaking "unity" with Republicans.

It's definitely raised some eyebrows.

11. What a stupid flamebait post. I voted for Obama
and I'm a lifelong Democrat. Why can't Hillary supporters understand that some people just don't like Clinton, or feel that she won't be good for the country?

Are all Hillary supporters idiots?

12. This is what I have been saying for a while -- people argue that she is vetted
and she is, but the results were not positive. People know who she is and they have already made up their minds, one way or another.

I think Obama is getting people to question their party loyalty in a way that she can't.

15. I've heard it said, because Obama is getting a lot of support for Indys and moderate Republicans
who WILL jump ship for McCain in large numbers in November, I do believe.

And I'm with you... when someone is attracting Republicans with their policies, it gives me great pause.

This is just one interesting turn to the
race. Republican women, fed up with GOP, Inc.
re-registered as Indies and are voting for
Hillary.

29. I've been hearing for years that the anti-grass roots, DLC approach wins the Indy swing votes.
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 08:51 PM by Dr Fate
DLCers telling me they are going to win these votes and Obama actually doing it are 2 different things.

I dont see all that many problems with swing-voters and independents coming over to the DEMS via Obama.
