It will be the first real surprise (other then Obama's margins of victory) of the night.

1. Not if he wins there by 3% - which is what it looks like at this minute.
I call that practically a tie.

...but isn't this the same state that voted to return Gunner Joe Lieberman to the Senate?

13. Ever here of Chris Dodd? Did you know that they actually allow
repubs to vote in a general election? Shocking that fact. Did you know that 4 out 5 of their reps are dems? And liberal dems at that? Kind of knocks your inane lieberman comment on its ass.

23. Let's run the numbers.....
....564,095 for Lieberman
....450,844 for Lamont
....1,992,370 registered voters in CT
....by your count 80% of the reps are Democrats so that should be 80% for Lamont or 1,593,896 votes in toto between a registered breakdown of 33% Democrat/21% Republican/46% Independent. But it didn't happen that way, did it?

Me thinks you doth protest too much.

who got on Larry King Live right before that election and told Connecticut voters how lucky they were to be in a situation where they couldn't lose no matter who they voted for. Yep - Dems got a real win-win there, didn't they?

10. Obama campaigned for Joe.
Obama knows a true-blue Dem when he sees one. He and Joe can reach out to the Repubs together.

Please. The results are shaking out pretty much as anticipated, for the most part.

16. Unless Hillary's win margin is bigger then expected in Mass I agree
I generally agree with you, the polls never showed that Obama was going to win Massachusetts, he trailed her by at least 10% in almost all of the recent polls.

A win in Connecticut however, where the polls have gotten very close in the last few days, would be meaningful, I would have put Connecticut in the "toss up" list if I was ranking who would win what states before tonight.

Kennedy (and company) hoopla of endorsements/appearances, if Hillary wins there, it will be stunning, to say the least.

MA 121 delegates; CT 60 delegates

BTW -The reason I don't care is because neither of whom I consider to be the best candidates (Gore or Edwards) are in the race. And, with all the $$s they're beholden to - it matters little to me whether it is Clinton or Obama. It's likely no real change will occur with either.

It was supposed to be Hillary's. That, in itself, is a very big deal. Hope it is a sign of things to come.
