***Official Edwards Democrats Results Watching Thread***
...because I'm feeling left (no pun intended) out. :silly:

Strangely, I find myself rooting for Team Hillary tonight....AND...the McCain/Huckabee/Mittens WWWTF smackdown. Heh.

I'm still in denial/bargaining/anger/drinking/snork phase of JE being forced out. Though wishing the supporters of H/O who were nice to me these past few months (years) warm thoughts and much luck tonight.

Have missed you too

:toast: Did you see benny's post in the JE Supporter forum. Great update on the lovely Edwards family (via conference call with the bloggers today). I almost put this thread there, but just wanted to touch base with any Edwards supporters who feel neglected tonight.

Oh, the woulda, coulda, shoulda's may haunt this 2008 ticket like it was 2000.

in part because of some of the vile things that have been thrown at her this week by our "own."

But in spite of it all, voting for John felt good tonight. I know I did the right thing. :)

8. Did you notice the high percentage of votes Edwards got in some states? 10% in Arizona.
Not even a candidate and he has 10%. The fact that folks are voting for him regardless of his status is interesting. If he's still on the ballot, I'll vote for him.

16. Hi kids....
I'm right there with you Catchawave. Tonight is sad for me. I can't turn the television on and only check here occasionally for updates.

Edwards was the bright, shining hope for this country, in a long dark night. It wasn't election day in Florida, and I already voted for him on 1/29, but if I could have voted for him again today--post suspension-- I would have. Hell, I might write him in in November if something doesn't change.

It's so ironic to me how we see progressives moaning about how Democrats won't stand up, won't fight, won't do battle to protect the will of the people. Here we had exactly that candidate and he's turned away. Still I hold the media responsible. *sigh*

Can I say one more time how much I like Edwards Democrats. :) I am encouraged believing in the things we believe in.

I kind of feel like I'm apart from it all as well, on the outside looking in -- glad I'm not alone.

20. Hi Catchawave!
I'm in the sadness/anger/getting stoned/listening to music phase of the Edwards force out. Ugh, can't root for anyone tonight, although it is bittersweet seeing that JE is still getting votes. Watching Huckabee's comeback makes me more convinced than ever that John should have stayed in. I think he might have won a few states and had a stronger showing than anticipated in others.

Oh, well.

35. That photo slays me.
Sigh. Could have really slept well at night knowing who was in the west wing.

Wouldn't have been too tough to listen to him and watch him on TV for the next 8 years, either.

But, he's young. Who knows? He's gotta have a few more elections in him. Don't lose hope that he'll run in the future!

If you are able to check the JE Supporters Group on DU (donor star required?), there's news being updated all the time. Shout out to benny for providing the latest! The best news, JE isn't going anywhere, nor endorsing...yet.

feasible, unless there's a mandate.

And I am grateful for this thread because I just can't feel okay about him not being in the race actively. Thank you for everyoine here who are being positive and seeing the possibility that this man brought.
I, too am afraid a light has gone out in our future if he isn't leading...
10% here in CA - good to know my one vote has some effect, amidst the tide..only c-span is showing edwards' numbers on my tv...

Been feeling ill for a few days now, but I think it may be sadness or hopelessness... and I don't think Medi-CAL will pay for treatment of that!

:hangover:

maybe I need some get stoned therapy too

32. BTW have you checked out the JRE site blogs?
This one is calling for them to keep the blogs active on his campaign site... and after reading about the group idea to start another site for us... here's some input

http://blog.johnedwards.com/story/2008/2/5/155628/6977

The folks over there are thinking about doing some work in New Orleans at the same time of the Convention to get attention for Edwards and poverty, etc...

thought the idea might resonate over here too...

damn! just when I think I have given up, I get wind of an idea tht makes me want to be proactive again!}(

34. There are a lot of homeless in downtown Denver, and a
big shelter just a mile or two from the convention area. Just saying that it could be a good place to bring attention to this issue while the other "front runners" are here.

I lost my star and can't post in the JE group.
