cuz, just like has been proven in the past, a Dem party divided can be defeated. You really want four more years under a Republican executive?

Obama knows this - you could hear it in his speech that just ended.

15. It's all about the delegates at this point ...
When Edwards, Kucinich, were tossed to the curb (by the powers that be - media & Dem party establishment) - and Gore chose not to be abandoned by the same - the race became all about power and money.

And, if Clinton wins CA tonight (and, big delegate states) it will be over.

37. I was for Dean in 2004, and Hillary (formerly Edwards) now.
Why is that confusing?

I'm more confused by people thinking that Obama is actually liberal, myself.

41. Because Dean and Obama were
against the fucking War On Iraq from the GET GO and had the brains and the heart to know better.

The War on Iraq is my issue and hilary hates Dean who has done so much for our country but hilary is dlc and Dean is For the People not corporations.

I proudly cast my vote for Obama in New York today.

Give me a break? Fact is any real chance for change has already dropped out/or been driven out -- and we've been left with the two candidates chosen by the powers that be (in the party) and money.

30. This is why Dems never win effect real change EVER
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 12:19 AM by sjdnb
Either they are too beholden to a person to support the party's candidate OR they are so 'principled' that they support candidates who will never, ever, win.

I am an Edwards supporter - I feel your pain. But, the way the political world works these days I'd rather have a strong Dem candidate than a Puke who wins because the Dems were weak.

He did great tonight and had some upsets. Hillary had no upsets. I'd say Obama comes out of this with greater momentum than Ms. Inevitability.

40. Hillary won MA without the Kennedy machine
Personally, at this point, I don't care who wins - either will be better than a Republican - but, not all that much. But, tonight, fact is, it's delegates - not # of states that matter.

And, unless you all are hoping for a President McCain you'd better stop bashing her and Obama and get behind whoever wins the majority of delegates at the tipping point.

Fact is, you're gonna either wind up with Bush Lite or Change Lite -- the REAL agents of change are already out of the race.

The race is far from over. Delegates are given proportionately, so it's not like she'll have a smashing delegate lead after tonight.

61. Why should we get behind one now when the delegate count is so close?
Your original post was saying "Get behind Clinton if she wins California." Well, she won California, but the delegate count is split. Now you say "it's delegates - not # of states that matter." So you are contradicting yourself.

25. California uses proportional delegates.
Clinton NEEDED to win Cali, Obama did not. And obviously Clinton is not going to be winning by 20 points so Obama will be getting plenty of delegates.

This race will definitely be going to March 4th at least.
