Is Hillary the nominal "winner" of Super Tuesday?
The delegates were splitting 52-48 in favor of Obama before Hillary got a big win in California. The final count will probably have a slight edge for Hillary. The big states broke for Hillary. Everyone knew New York and Illinois were off the table. Hillary took California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. The only big state that was in play Obama won was Georgia.

What should be remembered is the schedule for the rest of the month and his $20 million advantage gives him the edge going forward, at least until the March 4 when Texas and Ohio vote along with two small states.

8. Winning Idaho and North Dakota is not the same as California and New Jersey

2. Obama has a real shot at winning this thing
Just hope he doesn't alienate Hillary's supporters and vice versa because I want us all to come together in Nov

4. By what criteria?
Most delegates? Nope... Obama looks to have won that.

Most states? Nope... Obama won that 13-9.

Most votes? Actually, nationally it is pretty even.

Hillary was leading in national polls 48-28 just two weeks ago today. Tonight, she LOST GROUND in the delegate race, on what was supposed to be her biggest night.

The next several races are all Obama heavily favored. By next tuesday, Obama will have a 150+ delegate lead.

Seriously... by WHAT measure did Obama lose tonight? No objective ones, that's for sure.

11. He was ahead 52-48 in delegates BEFORE California
He will lose the delegate count now.

Most states? Obamites are using an old rethug talking point. Land doesn't vote. People do.

Obama arguably lost nominally because he lost almost all of the big states.

This is academic anyway. Barack will be the front runner by this time next week.

14. According to MSNBC... Obama picked up at least 4 delegates tonight....
The night was a "tie".... but that helps Obama.

13. MO is an average sized state which isn't reliably Democratic
So even though its raw population isn't that much smaller than Massachusetts its delegate count is. I guess Missouri is important because it is a bellwether but it is also in Barack's region. Him winning Missouri was like Hillary win New Jersey.

10. well sure she is...all day the mediawhores were saying, "who
wins california is the big winner of the night"...I guess they were banking on obama winning california, but as usual zogby got handed 20 dollars and said obama was way up in california....uh huh

So the big winner tonight is hrc, even if the delegates come out with HRC still ahead by a 100 of so...

15. Don't declare anyone a delegate winner yet
Wait until all the votes are counted to say who won the most delegates, you need to know who most of the people voted for to determine that.

I'm not declaring anyone a winner yet, but likely both campaigns will claim to have won. Clinton will brag about winning the big states, Obama will brag about winning more states, and eroding Hillary's once insurmountable lead of 20+ percentage points in most places months ago.
