I am amazed at the number of supporters Obama has amassed. He runs a campaign of buzz words. Change, defeating 'special interest' etc. Ok. change how, where, what, when. He rarely speaks specifically. And when he does speak on things such as gun control, health care, trade and outsourcing of jobs oversees, he shows republican sentiments. He will concede to them if elected. Bottom line. He is not as strong a democrat as Clinton. He all but says on his website that there is a good chance blue collar workers will lose their job to outsourcing. So what he proposes--to make up for your job loss--is help you get other skills that will help people displaced secure other employment. A concession to global trade markets that are unfair to hardworking middle class americans. He calls it a matter of scapegoating when asked by a black woman if blacks have lost labor jobs as a result of illegal immigrants---of course that has taken place. It is outrageous! And this post is coming from a black woman as well, who would love to see a black president. However, I cannot see voting for Obama over Hillary Clinton. No way!! She is the best chance the democrats have of defeating the Republicans who will be ready. Make no mistake and pay no attention to the infighting they may be experiencing now over the John McCain nomination. There are possibly three supreme court justices that will be nominated during the next president's time in office. We must get unified behind a strong, uncompromising Democrat. And last but not least, for the record--screw reaching across the aisle and pandering to republicans. Frankly we don't need them. We need control--control of the House, control of the Senate, and control of the White House to push forward a strong Democratic agenda of helping the poor; improving the economy and raising the income of the middle class; securing universal health care--which is possible and can be paid for; and strengthening our military by implementing better foreign policy initiatives and retooling certain defense objectives and strategic focus. Let's go folks!!!!!!
