Reality check for Hillary Haters (some BO supporters)
If she does win the nomination, I hope you will all come forward to be acknowledged when the GOP uses your attacks in their campaign. I have been shocked by the level of baseless accusations hurled against her as well as just the vile, GOP like smearing of her record/who she is.

Where does this stuff come from? I'm pretty sure it's not from Obama.

1. Uh gee, I'm too busy defending my candidate right now
Like how he's a Muslim drug dealer who votes present on choice and wants to do something bad with Social Security while snubbing handshakes.

You were saying something about attacks? :eyes:

2. If she gets the nomination, what will be hurled at her will be Bill Clinton's affairs in the WH
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 02:36 AM by still_one
I can see their ads now, with him under oath saying I never had sex with that woman

If the media had any integrity they would not show them, but integrity went out of the media years ago

I certainly hope if she gets the nomination she can refocus back to the issues

I am an Obama supporter, and a republican associate I work with was really upset that "Hillary" might win with the choice of candidates the republicans are offering. He is definitely not a Hillary fan, and I am not one either, but I told him, yeah that would be a terrible thing for you if Hillary won, you might even get healthcare covergage that you would never get under the republicans

The problem that we face is that people tend to vote against their own interests, if they are distracted on things that have nothing to do with the issues

5. Very, very well put.

It's not that Hillary is all bad. It's that she's got baggage a mile long, and is the Repubs only chance of spinning the election away from their failures.

10. And it will be our collective fault if we let them ... if that were the case JFK
would never have been President nor would many of the greatest leaders of our time.

Personal, consensual, indiscretions never killed one person nor stole their civil liberties.

Remember the evil we are up against - a war based on lies waged to fill the pockets of the military-industrial complex, the undermining of the Constitution (habeas corpus, illegal spying, signing statements, etc.), the incompetence, corruption, and fraud.

14. Are you saying it was OUR falut when Kerry was Swift Boated because
we let the Corporate Media exploit it? Millions of people wrote and complained to the MSM about it, and it fell on deaf ears

Ironically, a lot of these issues are the result of the telecom act of the 90's signed by Bill Clinton

You and I can argue that personal, consensual indiscretions don't matter, but we HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE MEDIA. 2006 showed that

15. Yes, exactly ... every time a Dem is attacked, the other Dems
seem to put their tails between their legs and hide! Look at the FISA debate, or torture, or anything else - including the Clinton impeachment.

If we never find the guts to stand up for our principles, over petty right wing BS, we will continue to be defeated.

19. Again, most of our representatives go the message loud and clear
how we felt regarding the issues you spoke of, but they ignored their constiuients

After we won in 2006 the message was that it was the Iraq war. Effectively, nothing has changed concerning Iraq since 2006, but that is not the fault of the people

I don't disagree with anything you have said

After 2008, if we win, there will be no more excuses

4. Bah the things I attack her for
Are things that the RW loves.

Please refer to my sig, and other posts. She's a corporate shill IMO. They won't be criticizing her for that, but you better believe that the pundits will call her on it in terms of her "love of the common man", "healthcare reform", and "change" messages. Or not

They haven't yet and it's certainly no secret.

16. Sure, I don't hate Obama -- actually, I admire him, just don't think
he's ready to be President. But, have absolutely no animosity toward him.

I know who Hillary is. Just because you don't like the truth doesn't mean I'm going to stop telling it.

17. She's been there, dealt with that ... same old, same old
The GOP is all but buried at this point, with regard to political power. Bush has dug their graves and they are just hesitant to get in -- but, it's inevitable that that is where they will wind up. Just a matter of time.

20. Sorry, I Just Don't Like Her
If she wins the nomination it's another 4 years of right-wingers in the WH. She cannot win.

All you women who support her will be responsible for the next wave of Supreme Court appointees that will tilt the court so far to the right it will never tip back. Goodbye Roe v Wade! You'll have only yourselves to blame.
