9. There were a lot of posts last night and earlier this morning making that claim.
But now as the numbers are calculated more accurately, Hillary has both more pledged and more super delegates.

17. I think the count has changed in the last few hours. Now Hillary does lead
in both elected and total delegates. A few hours ago CNN had Obama ahead in elected delegates.

24. I'm not sure where you are (the "middle of the night") varies. When I got up in the East at 4AM
CNN had Obama a few delegates ahead in terms of elected delegates.

Come to think of it, if Hillary passed him a few hours ago, that would still be the "middle of the night" for other time zones. ;)

This happens every time she wins.

It's pathetic, that not only the media is spinning hard for Obama but also fellow "Democrats".

28. Yeah, that too. The popular vote. Funny how that is getting ignored
When Hillary won the popular vote in Nevada Obama supporters responded that she didn't win the most delegates - so Obama won. When Hillary won the popular vote in New Hampshire Obama supporters responded that she only won just a single delegate more than Obama - so that was a virtual tie. When Hillary routed Obama in the popular vote in Florida Obama supporters responded that no delegates were awarded - so that doesn't count.

But when Clinton is leading in overall delegates needed for the nomination Obama supporters respond - since that includes Super Delegates it means Obama is really the one who is ahead.

This is what passes as logic here.

14. CNN shows Hillary up 632 to 626 in elected delegates as of 8:25.
A few hours ago they had Obama up by a few in just elected delegates. I suppose that California counting continues and she is gaining there. She's up 835 to 732 including superdelegates.

22. We will have to wait
So far CNN shows 1134 out of the 1688 delegates from last night allocated, with Clinton up by 20. Due to the delegate allocation formulas, Obama has a bit of an advantage with the delegates left to be allocated. winning by more than 60%, which Obama did more broadly last night than did Clinton. In the end Clinton may very well end up having won more votes last night, but due to where she won them not winning as many delegates. This is further compounded by Obama winning the caucuses by large margins, where there is no way to really gauge a popular vote total.

25. it's coming from the Obama campaign, and Russert via Politico
Plouffe: Obama wins Super Tuesday by winning more states and more delegates
http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/samgrahamfelsen/CPGV

~snip~
Clinton was portrayed in many news accounts as the night’s big winner, but Obama’s campaign says he wound up with a higher total where it really counts — the delegates who will choose the party’s nominee at this summer’s Democratic convention.

With the delegate count still under way, NBC News said Obama appears to have won around 840 delegates in yesterday’s contests, while Clinton earned about 830 — “give or take a few,” Tim Russert, the network’s Washington bureau chief, said on the “Today” show.

The running totals for the two, which includes previous contests and the party officials known as “superdelegates,” are only about 70 delegates apart, Russert said.

The bottom line is that the two are virtually tied.

26. As of 10:10 ET CNN is showing Obama with 603 and Hillary with 590 elected
delegates. Hillary is up 783 to 709 in total delegates.

Figures are changing so fast today, that it probably isn't worth arguing about until everything gets counted and delegates determined from all the ST states.
