Hillary won - this is why - article on the expectations from yesterday follows

She won everything she was supposed to, plus Arizona and California - which according to pollsters were in play - and were decisive whether this was a win or a loss for either candidate. Obama won the states he was expected to. Plus Mo with was considered a toss.

1. Arizona tried to play an Obama win in the newspapers and polls prior to yesterday.
Even the Arizona Republic is downplaying her win, I just canceled our newspaper, telling them it's because of their HUGE bias against Clinton. The operator said they have gotten over 300 calls in the past hour with the same complaint.

4. I think the I's voted for McCain in AZ.
Also I noticed that most (not all) of O's states won were red, caucus states. I'm a little concerned that the I's and the white men who voted for O. will desert him in November.

11. you seem to forget that most of Obama wins were in the states that......
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 09:57 AM by ElsewheresDaughter
had "open" primary and Caucus's.......meaning that many repuke voters joined in just to fuck with the Dem Primary and voted for Obama because they know he can't win in the GE.....and they will now go about their pathetic lives and not vote for him in the GE this Nov.

that is why the repuke owned corporate and their media whores are also pushing for Obama too....all morning not barely a word about any of Clinton's wins and playing clips only of Obama's speech and McCains speeches..... have to ask yourself why

let me tell you.....this has been the rove/gop/corporate plan since Boston.....I do hope everyone understands this

14. more probable
It is more probable that open primaries allow independents and repubs switching for preference than just repubs switching to sabotage. Why would anyone throw away a vote in such a close election season.

10. No, Hillary was supposed to win ALL states by huge margins
Obama closed the gap in recent weeks. Since before her announcement, she was the pronounced winner.

It hasn't happened yet though in reality. The gap is closing.

16. Obama won CT as well
California was never seen as a 50/50 chance. there was one outlier poll (Zogby), but the conventional wisdom was that with a large % of the votes cast before Obama's surge, it would be a huge upset if he won. they mentioned the huge number of Clinton ties to the CA establishment nourished over decades. That article was closer to a best case for Obama than what was expected. 4 Weeks ago, the expectation was that the race would be over after counting up super Tuesday.
