11. I can't help being graceless over this.
They were hideous in their attempted annihlation of her. It was heartrending for me to see Kennedy, Caroline and Kerry doing this to a "friend". God, I had always heard they could be merciless, but this was vile. The rally with Michelle, Oprah, Caroline and Maria was a piling on with blood all over the ground. I was sickened. Her victory in those two states would honestly have been enough for me. The rest were icing on the cake. We will all remain true to Hillary. It's anyone's guess what they will attempt to do to her next. She is one hell of a brave woman, and, I salute her.

you really are full of it. how silly can you possibly be. People had the audacity to endorse someone other than Madame Entitled. How dare they. And guess what? The Kennedys and others did help Barack. He came from way, way back over the past couple of weeks in CA and from over 30 back in MA. She's not owed anything by the Kennedys or anyone else. Can't wait to vote for Obama in my little state of Vermont where he'll crush her. We don't care for her in my state. Want some evidence? She's only raised $47,000 here compared to Obama's over $400,000.

But it's a pyrrhic victory.

Her victory will turn off young voters, the independents and the Republicans that Obama is attracting.

Her victory is all about making the Clintons the dominant force in the Democratic party. No one must cross them for fear of being crushed by them. It's all about keeping Bill's "legacy" alive.

OTOH -- both Kerry and Kennedy know thay are the 2 most hated democrats in the world to the point where even the mention of their names makes republicans start going into convulsions so they back Obama and he loses some of his republican support ... kinda looks intentional doesn't it? LOL.

generally from father to son. secondly, i love kennedy, i just find it highly hypocritical how some here flaunt the kennedy endorsement on the on the hand while saying they dont want a clinton 'dynasty' on the other.

21. I'd be worried if I was Kerry or Kennedy

That was a major embarrassment for them, they should be worried that their own state cares very little about what they say.

They tried to pull a fast one and their own state called them on it. I think they ought o be looking to see if they can get reelected.

Gov Patrick what a failure.

I know, some think it wasn't enough - he should have fought Kerry's battles with Diebold for him - but they did campaigned FOR kerry in 2004 - instead of endorsing an opponent in the primaries and say lies about kerry.

Speaking to a huge crowd. The Clintons came out in force for Kerry. He stabbed them in the back. Just like he let down the rest of his supporters by rolling over for the swiftboaters, just like he let us all down by giving up before all the votes were even counted.

Yeah, karma's a beech, ain't it. Thanks JK. Oh, and Teddy too. Too bad you couldn't even deliver your home state for BO.

during summer2004?

You didn't notice that Terry McAuliffe never secured the election process for 2002 and 2004 after 2000s theft?

You didn't know Clinton loyalist Carville sabotaged voters in Ohio on election night?

Hillary was up by 40% at one point in Mass. Kennedy and Kerry pulled Obama up SIGNIFICANTLY and NATIONALLY.

BTW - Clintons backstabbed EVERY DEmocrat when they spent the 90s protecting Poppy Bush and his cronies - it was JOHN KERRY who did the most to BRING DOWN Poppy Bush by uncovering IranContra, BCCI and CIA Drugunning causing constant bad headlines for Bush all through 1992.

What did Bill do when took office? Deep-sixed all the outstanding matters by siding with Poppy Bush's secrecy and privilege insteaf of with the truth that should have had BushInc behind bars not planning a return in 2000.

Backstabbing from Clintons noted by Brinkley:

Carville on election night sabotaging Dem voters in Ohio.

election process after 2000?

What did Brinkley see to make him say this in April2004:

http://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=13354

Why did Bill use his THREE WEEK booktour for a HIGH PROFILE DEFENSE of Bush in nearly every broadcast appearance?

Why did Carville sabotage Dems voters in Ohio?
http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodward

Why was BushInc able to grow stronger in the 90s and planning their 2000 return instead of being jailed?

25. Have you seen this from The Boston Globe - ""A loss for Kennedy"
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 11:07 AM by robbedvoter
Back in 1994, Kennedy was suddenly and shockingly vulnerable to a challenge from a rich, smart Republican named Mitt Romney. On the defense in his first real political fight in decades, Kennedy wrapped himself "in President Clinton's mantle," the Globe reported in June 1994. "I am honored to stand with him, day after day, week after week, month after month, in our fight for jobs, economic justice, and progress on the great issues like health reform," Kennedy told delegates to that year's Democratic state convention.

Both Clintons rushed to Kennedy's aid.

50. I like the term Samsara best.
In Hinduism, it is avidya, or ignorance, of one's true self, that leads to ego-consciousness of the body and the phenomenal world. This grounds one in kāma (desire) and the perpetual chain of karma and reincarnation. The state of illusion is known as Maya.

In some types of Hinduism, Saṃsāra is seen as ignorance of the True Self, Brahman, and thus the soul is led to believe in the reality of the temporal, phenomenal world.

Hinduism has many terms for the ultimate place like moksha, mukti, nirvana, and mahasamadhi.

The Hindu Yoga traditions hold various beliefs. Moksha may be achieved by love of Ishwar/God (see bhakti movement), by psycho-physical meditation (Raja Yoga), by discrimination of what is real and unreal through intense contemplation (Jnana Yoga) and through Karma Yoga, the path of selfless action that subverts the ego and enforces understanding of the unity of all. Advaita Vedanta, which heavily influenced Hindu Yoga, believes that Brahman, the ultimate Truth-Consciousness-Bliss, is the infinite, impersonal reality (as contrasted to the Buddhist concept of shunyata) and that through realization of it, all temporal states like deities, the cosmos and samsara itself are revealed to be nothing but manifestations of Brahman.

She joined in the attempted take-down of Hillary.

138. Yes, and with much thinner margins than before the endorsements. These ain't
winner-take-all; a shift from 30% to 40% can be as valuable as a shift from 45% to 55%.

144. I know it's all about the delegates. This thread is about
Ted, John, Caroline, Deval, maria and Oprah having egg on their faces. Obama lost the states. Were they doing this to LOSE? Or did they do this to win Massachusetts and California?

145. I don't see any egg. They were looking
to help Obama. Obama went from trailing in 18 of 21 states to winning 13. He swiped Connecticut, Missouri, Minnesota, and Delaware from under her, among many others. He drastically cut her lead in several other states; he halved it in CA. If taking a candidate from an ass-beating to a victory is "having egg on your face," I see the Obama campaign having a lot more egg as we move to the convention.

Can Caroline have a different opinion?

135. Thank you. It needed to be said.
The timing of all those endorsements was planned for maximum effect; Ted's endorsement was treated like a televised coronation. When BO didn't win MA, the pundits said wait for CA, that's where those endorsements count, ROFL!

149. It was sweet!!!!!!!!
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 03:06 PM by Beacool
At the campaign offices in NJ where I was all day getting out the vote, we wanted to win primordially in 4 states: NY, NJ, CA & MA. Obviously we weren't worried about NY & NJ, but after the backstabbing that Teddy and most of his clan did to the Clintons we were hungry for a win in that state.

When the MA results started coming in we whooped and hollered!!!!

Not only did she win, but she did so by a large margin. Our cheers were not so much because she defeated Obama, but because it was a rejection of Teddy, et al. in their own state.

Same thing for CA, voters proved that celebrity endorsements don't matter in the long run. Despite big support for Obama from Oprah, Kerry, the MA governor and the Kennedys, Hillary kicked butt in both states.

Hey Teddy, payback is a bitch..........
