Clinton/Obama and Obama/Clinton
I support both as a Hillary supporter.

I listened to HIllary's town hall meeting on MOnday night.
Lot's of things she said impressed me.
She seems to be more progressive than Obama as far as her policy platform is involved.

Anyway, I digress.

Here is what I am really afraid.
I just read 'Climate Tipping points' list on DU.
Some may happen very soon.
I really think Climate Change is the most urgent problem we are facing even more so than Roe vs. Wade. I cannot afford any Repub candidate who won't do a thing for Climate Change.

This is why, I really want Democrat to win.

The best ticket therefore is the above.
I got a feeling neither of two may get majority.
Then, those should be option.
As a Democrat, the choice between above two are based the final delegate count without super delegates.

Dear Obama supporters, will you support above ticket even if it may not be the one you prefer.
Actually, if Hillary accept VP position, do you support?
Or, more precisely, will you promote these unity ticket if we go to the convention without a real winner?

2. Both Clinton and Obama are the same kind of coward when it comes to global warming/climate change.
Just so we're clear, even with two terms, neither will be in office after January 20th, 2017.

Clinton's environment/energy plan:
-Reduce CO2 emissions by 80% from 1990 levels by 2050
-cut foreign oil imports by 2/3 from 2030 projected levels
-55 mpg standard by 2030
-Cut electricity use by 20% from 2020 projected levels
-Renewable energy sources for 25% of electricity production by 2025
-60 billion gal. biofuel by 2030
-Require all Federal buildings designed after 1/20/09 to be zero emission.
-Increase "Clean" Coal use

Obama's environment/energy plan:
-Reduce CO2 emissions by 80% from 1990 levels by 2050
-cut foreign oil imports by 2/3 from 2030 projected levels (Obama says 35% but gives the same '10 billion barrels/day' figure as Clinton)
-Renewable energy sources for 25% of electricity production by 2025
-2 billion gal. biofuel by 2013
-36 billion gal. biofuel by 2022
-60 billion gal. biofuel by 2030
-All buildings be carbon neutral by 2030
-Increase "Clean" Coal use

There's not much difference between doing nothing on the issue and investing money in research but passing the buck to later administrations/generations.

3. From what I know , I prefer Clinton
She also pledged to come up new treaty to replace Kyoto.
Obama also support nuclear energy and in general biofuel is a very tricky alternative energy.
In fact, biofuel can be environmental nightmare.

However, the most important point is that they are still way ahead of Republican.
This is why, I want Democrats regardless.

P.S. I don't know if Hillary may take VP position or not. If they are really close enough, superdelegates may prefe Hillary/Obama because it will increase the chance of getting 16 years of Democrat white house.
