Sorry people, Obama has peaked
All week the media was trashing Clinton and praising Obama, all we heard and saw was everyone from Santa Claus to Kennedy to Oprah to Jesus to DeNiro endorsing Obama. If all that isnt enough to deliver a slam dunk nothing will.

Once again we can soon be saying President Clinton.

26. what did Seeker30 do to deserve
to be added to the the ignore list? it's nothing different than the rhetoric that both Clinton and Obama people are saying. He was just stating his opinion and was not out of line. Ignoring people is not the answer. Ignoring people is part of the reason Kerry lost.

9. You have a point
After all, there are reports that he's going to have take out loans to self-finance his candidacy because he foolishly spent all his money on a poor campaign, and is now almost out of money. And the majority of his donors are maxed out, and his opponent has outpaced him in fundraising by over 3-1 margin. He's getting desperate.

13. Not a supporter or either but I disagree
Obama has shown the ability to outright win when he has been way down or at least behind (Connecticut) and everywhere that he has been able to/chosen to campaign he has closed the gap. Florida and Michigan basically got frozen in place by the DNC and that is why Hillary won them.

Now if conventional wisdom holds and he does take Va MD DC VT and Nebraska and Hillary is counting on Ohio and Texas look out. Obama has something that works and he could, especially in Ohio, take it.

This is a long way from over. Both are very very good campaigners with good staffs (don't care much for Penn thank you). No one has peaked.

Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 03:30 PM by smalll
Scarlett Johansen even came out for Barack. You have to think that would pull into his camp most of the people out there who've ever had sex with Scarlett Johansen. That should have given a few extra percentage points to Obama in the state of California alone, yet STILL Hillary beat him there convincingly!

38. No thinking person ever expected a knock out.
When did you get interested in politics, last week? Obama's supporters have understood
since the beginning that this would be hard race and we are prepared to fight in the trenches.

We never underestimate the political power of the entrenched Clintons and their minions.

In their carefully designed strategy book, no one, absolutely no one was suppose to be
left after Super Tuesday accept Queen Hillary.

And now she is broke and in the fight of her life.

32. I would say that your view of the media is a bit biased and self serving
Having no dog really in this race, I despise both candidates about equally, I'm a far more objective media viewer than you, and quite frankly I think that there has been little media bias one way or the other. What you're missing here is the syncophantic pro Hillary media spin that was widely evident at the beginning of the primary season, the view that Hillary was inevitable. Well, after that didn't pan out, the media had to retract that spin and actually be non-biased.

that he couldn't win except for the black vote or that he would only win 2 states on Super Tuesday (GA, IL), and he won 13, maybe 14! And you know what? this weekend and next Tuesday he's going to in all likelihood win almost every caucus and primary. What will you say then? he's peaked!

I am simply pointing out the obvious, sorry some of you can't take the truth.

Campaigning is all about marketing, and marketing sells products. The amount of marketing done by the Obama camp this past week reached levels never seen in American politics and it still wasnt enough to knockout Hillary. Sorry if that bothers some.
