Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey endorses Barack Obama
Note: Nebraska's caucus is on Saturday, and Ben Nelson has also endorsed Barack. Why are so many rural, middle america democrats supporting Obama? Because he has COATTAILS. You want to expand the Democratic coalition? Vote Obama '08.

Today Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey endorsed Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States and released the following statement:

" Throughout his career, Senator Obama has united Democrats, Republicans, and independents to make progress on health care, energy independence, and government transparency. In Nebraska, we know that you have to reach across the aisle to get things done."

"To bring about change, we need a leader who can build a coalition of all Americans to take on special interests. Barack Obama has inspired Americans to reengage in the political process, and I'm proud to join his campaign."

3. February looks really good for Obama.
Mostly caucuses, lots of Plains and Midwestern states, and he's got the money advantage.

5. I'm looking forward to hearing about more Big Turnout Venues as well.
I'll be in NY when Wisconsin's turn rolls around... Too bad, because Madison wouldn't have been a very long drive for us to go :(
