30. You might want to check your data on that.

Filter it any way you like - the big money donations are going to Hillary, not Obama.

13. I was on the site looking for some shirts today, and noticed it was slow.
I figured they must be getting some great activity :)

I did pass on a note, that if they can't restock (or stock) children's sizes - maybe they would consider selling transfer images so that I can make my own from home :)

29. huh.
Still throwing that "latte liberal" label around? I thought that our 'friends from across the aisle' were the ones who used that type of rhetoric.

BTW, are you still claiming that "Rich people like Obama, and poor people like Hillary"? You never responded when I pointed out to you that data from opensecrets.org showed the exact opposite...

31. OK, I'll respond to that data -
What you posted shows that Hillary's money raised overall tends to be large amounts ($2,300 for the primary, or even up to $4,600 if money's also given for the general election) much more so than Obama, who has a larger percentage of his cash from smaller donations, in the hundreds rather than thousands.

It only stands to reason that last year, 2007, when Hillary was Madame Inevitable, the Clinton campaign took the opportunity to raise a lot of money. They know how to run campaigns, they know how to bundle. But at this point (congratulations to Obama) your candidate and Our Girl are in a neck-and-neck battle for the nomination. The fund-raising landscape is different. And at this point, Obama is raising much more money. The richer, upper-income people are going to Obama in droves and abandoning Hillary. And of course the data on votes (rather than donations) have confirmed to the world that Obama is the candidate of the rich, while Clinton is the candidate of the poor. Also, keep in mind as to your original data: all that showed was the size of the individual donations. Is someone who gives $2,300 rich? Sure they are. But MOST people who can find their way to donating $200 or even $100 to a Presidential candidate are ALSO above-average, income wise.

And yes it makes sense: the hip wealthy and the young healthy, the people who don't really need a President, can afford to indulge themselves in content-free "inspiration." Regular Democrats can't.

33. wow. you really want it both ways.
"Rich people love Obama, and poor people love Hillary" is what you said.

The data shows that large donations go overwhelmingly to Hillary, and somehow, according to you, that means that rich people are donating to Obama. Look at Percentage from Donors of $200 or less: http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/donordems.asp?filter=A&sortby=S

Hillary: 12%
Obama: 26%
Obama has received twice the number of less than $200 donations than has Hillary.

Let's go back to the highest category listed, the number of contributors of $4,600. http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/donordems.asp?filter=A&sortby=X
Hillary: 7,411
Obama: 1,964
You can spin it anyway you want, but Clinton is the one cashing in on the big, RICH donors.

Black voters in the South - not known for being (on average) at the upper end of the economic scale also went overwhelmingly for Obama. How in the world does that "prove to the world" that "Obama is the candidate of the rich, while Clinton is the candidate of the poor" - your exact words.

I'm not young by any stretch of the imagination - I was hoping to retire 3 years from now, but the way things have played out over the past 8 years tells me that I'll be working for a couple more decades. :( But I guess I'm not a "regular Democrat", according to you.

Look, I'm glad you have a candidate that you feel passionate about. But your whole "latte liberal" meme that "rich folks are for Obama" is crap, and I think if you were honest with yourself you'd admit that. And if you want to rebut this, please add some source links as I have. It's difficult to intelligently debate someone who keeps pulling statistics out of thin air.
