5. Ethics is right. It's not ethical to put the money in and not report it.

She should have reported it the day she did it. That would have been ethical. But they were not concerned with the ethics.

Isn't it unethical to loan a campaign money while telling contributors the campaign is in great shape? Isn't it unethical to hide that information from media and supporters?

Something can be legal and still be unethical. Helping the dictator of Oilbekistan, for example, may be legal, but it's not ethical.

If the number is off when the actual filing is done in 14 days, which it is almost certain to be by some amount, will you be saying the same thing?
