McCain/Lieberman?????
Is there a reason why Joementum is perpetually standing behind McCain every time McCain is on camera? What does that do for either of them unless Joe is in the running for VP?

2. McCain is having too hard a time with the conservatives to put LIEberman as his running mate
In addition - LIEberman does not bring in the liberal or progressive vote, and I doubt he can bring in enough independents or moderates to make up for the loss of the Repub conservative base....

so no. I think holy Joe would love to be asked, but I just don't see it happening

9. He was there last night in AZ
and again today in front of the bus presumably before they got back on it together with Lindsey Graham. I just find it extremely odd.

3. Lieberman has been residing inside McCain's lower intestine for some weeks now.
However, he has been sharing that space with Mike Huckabee and Tim Pawlenty. May the biggest turd win.

4. Yes, there is a reason ...
Joe, as always, is in it for Joe. And Joe is too deluded to know that McCain (who is fighting tooth-and-nail to prove his 'conservative Republican' credentials) will never choose a former Democrat as a VP.

OTOH, McCain is acting like a deranged idiot lately anyway - so maybe he's as deluded as Ol' Joe, thinking that Dems still see Joe as one of their own and will cross over to vote for 'the team'.

Odd to see him everywhere with McCain.

13. Not odd ...
... just delusional. I'm sure Joe thinks he's setting himself up for some big payoff down the line.

Yuk it up, Joe - your big payoff will be a kick in the ass, which is just what you deserve.

12. Considering Lieberman's ego, he probably
believes that he is responsible for McCain's front runner position. I think he stands behind him as sort of a good luck charm.

16. I wouldn't be surprised
The GOP is in some serious shit this year, regardless of who they nominate. They're getting half as many voters in their primaries as are the Dems, and they're in pretty shitty shape overall.

Lieberman as VP would be a perfectly cynical ploy of McCain to appeal to "independents". If he's the nominee, you can be sure Joe is on the shortlist for Veep.

17. He certainly doesn't owe his base a lot
given the amount of sniping he's getting from the controlled GOP media.
