So Clinton won Super Tuesday...
and now has the most delegates, yet Obama supporters are trying to spin that as a loss? Can you guys count? Do you realize how illogical and wingnutty you sound?

Seriously, if you think you have a good candidate you should talk about his strengths instead of making stuff up.

Debate policy, kids.

those numbers do not include the voter counts from Caucus states, where Obama won by vast margins.

Perhaps it can be said that she didn't "lose the war", but that is a far cry from it being a win, imo.

6. Clinton expected to be the nominee by this morning, instead she is essentially TIED with Obama
for regular delegates, and has a mere 90 (approximately) super delegate lead. That is not winning. That is staying alive.
Obama won more states, and in 8 of those states he crushed Clinton. She crushed him in one.

Obama is getting a million dollars a day in donations since 1 January 2008. Clinton is loaning her campaign $5 mil and has staffers working for free.

I think the momentum is on Obama's side. Clinton did not "win" super Tuesday, she at best squeaked by and maintained her super delegate lead....

13. Final numbers per AP are 1024 delegates for Hill to date, 933 for Obama - she only leads in elected
delegates by one - the other 90 are super delegates

And after another week Obama will lead in elected delegates because the race card he has played has "solidified" his "black base" - meaning the DC area is his as it rejects all that the first Black President and wife did in the 90's - and that is Saturday - plus the caucuses will as with all caucuses be flooded with college kids that will never vote in Nov - but who will give him caucus wins in the next few days.

Obama has even turned around logic and now spins Hill's massive advantage with Democrats as bad - now Obama claims it is more important to get GOP/independent votes - especially in red states that have no chance of being blue in Nov.

33. Sorry - but the MLK comment was not racial until Obama pretended it was - that's playing the race
card to me.

In 2004 he won the (primary) election (against Hynes - the general fell into his lap when the GOPer had a major sex scandal and last minute Alan jumped in as a joke) via the Daley machine and by again "solidifying the black base".

Maybe it is not "playing the race card" and is just how you run in Illinois - but I spent a couple of decades in Illinois, and my Governor in Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, won without spending any days or putting out PR releases for any "solidifying the black base".

20. Depends on how you look at it
Six months ago, Hillary was the clear front runner. Obama was a distant 2nd and none of the other democrat hopefulls were in striking distance. Now it's a very close race. However, the momentum over the last few months has been decidedly in Obama's favor. Here's a guy who had no chance six months ago with a very real chance of winning the nomination. I think Obama supporters have a lot of room to claim that Super Tuesday was a win just due to the fact that it's still anyone's game.

Some recent moves by Hillary have looked a little desperate. "Donating" five million dollars of her own money to her campaign. Offering to debate Obama every week. From what I've seen, Obama raised more than 2.5 times more money than Hillary in January.

Hillary may have an 80ish delegate lead at the moment, but if anyone thinks that's a comfortable margin they're kidding themselves.

49. Put away the broad brush please
He has more going for him than being an African American who "speaks well". Why don't you spend some time reviewing his policies, and give a little more credit to his supporters than that we're all morons.

He does talk about policies and has put forward a lot of ideas both during this campaign and in his career.

I'm sorry that you're upset at HRC's turn of fortune. But truly what everyone is talking about is that he undeniably has the momentum and better prospects at the moment. And I for one couldn't be happier.

He's the most liberal and least bought and paid for candidate we have left. I don't give a shit what color he is, and I doubt that the vast majority of his supporters do either.

31. Hillary came out on top in popular votes also
This is taken from Mydd which has links to other sites:

"Clinton 48.97% (6,967,302)
Obama 48.04% (6,835,447)

Based on totals on MSNBC.com, there are still some outstanding votes. There is only 82% reporting in Minnesota; Arkansas is 92% in; Arizona is 93% in; California is 96%; Illinois is 97%; New Mexico is 98%; Alaska looks like delegate votes not raw vote"

AND

"Using CNN's reported results , and rounding to the nearest thousand (both when inputing the numbers into my speadsheet and in the totals)--and noting that there still some votes still to be counted in New Mexico, not that it will upset the overall result to report here--I have a preliminary total of 7.35M votes yesterday for Hillary Clinton and 7.29 for Barack Obama.

Overall, a total vote margin of about 65K despite nearly 15 million total votes cast for one or the other. Ignoring all other stray votes, that gives her 50.2 percent of the two-candidate vote share and him the balance, 49.8 percent."

And none of this includes the 1.5 million votes cast in Florida. Clinton is ahead in both popular votes and delegates.

40. you're the wingnut
Obama won 13 of the states.

Despite winning Calie, which gave him the popular vote, Gore even carry his own state ... he lost (okay, the Supreme Court gave it to him, but it should have NEVER been close enough for Florida to matter).

Calie isn't EVERYTHING idiot.

If you took a peek at the polls after S.C. you would know the HUGE gaps Obama had to close to even compete w/ the Clinton name.

Guess what? He did it!

Without the Super Delegates Hillary is still behind Obama in delegates.

The Super Delegates can change their minds ANYTIME.

Dean has stated that if the delegate count is for one candidate, but the Super Delegates are for the other candidate, then there WILL be an inside discussion. Even Byah today said that he believes the two will be matched up before the convention.

So Hillbots, revel in your delegate count w/ your Super Delegates "promised" and lick your lips for the chance of going into the convention to have the nominee chosen to be Hillary, even if it means tearing the Democratic Party apart.

I would expect no less from Hillbots and their candidate.

Our party is doomed if this goes down to the wire.
