Clintons' Coal-Gate? True or false? (from Investor's Business Daily)
Is this true or has it been disproven?

The Clintons' Coal-Gate

By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY

Hillary Clinton calls President Bush's talks with the Saudis about increasing oil output "pathetic." But it's not as pathetic as her co-president husband locking up billions of tons of clean coal in exchange for political contributions.

(cut)

In fact, the declaration of 1.7 million Utah acres as a national monument, thereby depriving an energy-starved U.S. up to 62 billion tons of environmentally safe low-sulfur coal worth $1.2 trillion and minable with minimal surface impact, was a political payoff to the family of James Riady.

He's the son of Lippo Group owner Mochtar Riady. James was found guilty of — and paid a multimillion dollar fine for — funneling more than $1 million in illegal political contributions through Lippo Bank into various American political campaigns, including Bill Clinton's presidential run in 1992.

Clinton took off the world market the largest known deposit of clean-burning coal. And who owned and controlled the second-largest deposit in the world of this clean coal? The Indonesian Lippo Group of James Riady.

1. LOL, you're attacking Bill for declaring 1.7M acres off limits to coal miners!
I knew Obama was attracting Republicans but this is getting ridiculous.

4. Did I write the article? It's from INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
and I was asking if it has been disproven.

I'm guessing from your response (calling me a republican) that it hasn't.

Thanks.

3. Obama was paid off by Nuclear Interests to hurt his District
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 08:29 PM by neutron
People in his district discovered their water was radioactive.
Obama was supposed to draw up a bill requiring the Nuke Plant to inform
them of leaks.

Instead, they gave Obama hundres of thousands of dollars for his Senate Campaign.

Bet you won't figure out what happend next.

Yup. Obama comes up with a bill PROTECTING the NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
against his district.

This was on the front page of the NYT this past week.

A highly regarded environmentalist lamented that the bill was toothless.

How many yahoos voting for this guy know one iota about him.

6. Investor's Business Daily is a right-wing rag.
Not that Obama supporters care who writes what these day, as long as it fits their agenda.
