1. I say false, because Chimpy had the machine behind him.
Right now it's working against McCain.

Many Republicans actively hate McCain. Some will hold their noses and vote for him anyway, rather than vote for a Democrat, but others will stay home or cross over.

McCain has the same media gush that Bush did, so that's a wash. And have you ever seen hime debate? Either of our candidates, especially Hillary, would wipe the floor with him in a debate.

Edit to add: And we, and whoever our nominee will be, should call out the media every single time they say "Straight Talk Express" or "Maverick" when referencing McCain. Neither is true, but the media regurgitates those ad nauseum.

4. Well, I should have said with equal machines
McCain is winning against the wind, Bush could have never done that. Thank the gods, Rove is sitting out this cycle (his soul is lease to Satan this year) but with any decent campaign management, McCain will rock.

5. False. McCain is far more like Bob Dole, imho.
Bush had Jesus and Texas; at least 50% of the population was stupid enough to fall for that.

6. Bush's Only Real Talent Was That He Was A Nasty Campaigner
He was willing to lie, cheat, and steal his way into office. McCain is a lightweight compared to Bush. He's only winning the nomination because the field was so poor.
