Obama Supporters: Help push Obama over the top tonight! $6M in one day!
Since Hillary had to infuse her own campaign with $5 Million from her own pocket, the Obama campaign launched an effort to prove that they can raise the same amount of money in a single day. It has been successful. As of this post he has raised 5,729,432!

I am encouraging everyone who is an Obama supporter to call their friends on their cell phones and encourage them to head over to his website and give in a small donation. I think we can hit $6,000,000 by 12:00 AM EST.

7. I have no shame in that.
I'm proud that my candidate can call on people to raise large sums of money quickly. Isn't that what we want in a Democratic Nominee?

13. I didn't mean for my response to sound negative!
I was simply saying, I have no problem with playing the part of the money-whore for Obama. I'm quite proud of what he has accomplished, is accomplishing, and will accomplish in the future. We've come a long way since the beginning of the campaign, with a long way to go, and I am glad that he is displaying the fact that he has true staying power. So many people thought things would be over before now, but here we are and it looks like we're about to soar to the lead.

14. Indeed he is here longer than I ever imagined he would be.
I am thrilled that our nominee will be a woman or an African-American, really.

10. Every little bit helps.

That's why people powered campaigns work. If everyone chips in just a little bit, then we can accomplish huge things. Tonight, it's about proving a point - it's about sending a message to Hillary and America that Obama can go on like this for a long time to come. We're in it until the end and we will win. We WILL win!

15. Close to $6 million in 24 hours
Beats "$3 Million in Three Days," doesn't it?

Honestly, I don't understand for the life of me why the Clinton camp doesn't set their own bar higher, and just ask. Her supporters are passionate and I don't understand why she doesn't just say GIVE ME THE DAMNED MONEY! :-)

21. Yeah, I know. LOL.
I mean, hell she had that huge slot on the Hallmark channel. I would have turned it into an infomercial and would have told people - again and again - to go to my website and donate. It's not so hard to understand - if you want a Democracy that works for you - you have to participate. That means more than just voting, you have to actually BE involved, and there is more than just money that can be given. Helping spread the message is one way that costs nothing and can be done in day-to-day conversation.

Josh even says that at this rate, Obama can afford to hire Mark Penn. }(

19. Yes, I know.
I wish I was at Obama Campaign Headquarters. They are probably celebrating.

Of course, I am also vindictive, so I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Hillary's HQ. I imagine a few of them feel ready to throw in the towel.

23. I gave another $50.
That brings my total contribution to $100. I'll have to wait until I get my tax refund before I can scrape up some more money because, alas, I'm not one of those uppity, uber-rich Obama supporters. My net income is under $30,000.
