I just don't see any advantages in doing it. You do it as a desperation move.

People are saying that Hillary supporters are now going to rally around her and give her record donations.. but why wouldn't they do that anyway after her good showing on Super Tuesday?

I just don't see any tactical advantages in her effectively saying she is running low on funds... this is real, folks.

I am not saying that you need to put an obituary on her campaign... but she is hurting, no doubt.

Look at all the candidates who have had to use some of their money to fund their campaigns... Guilani, Romney... where are they now? Guilani is out of the race and Romney is on his death bed.

Hillary has much more support than Romney but you can't take anything good from Hillary taking funds out of her own bank account.

4. And....
The truth is that running low on funds in a key part of your campaign is never a good thing.

3. She wants to be the underdog? She did get some donations out of it, too.
But it is pretty risky. We'll see how this develops over the next couple days. It could very easily turn people away from her.

5. It would come out anyway in her campaign filings, so I agree with you. Also, Hill just
doesn't have the depth of support that Obama does.

Much of her earlier money camre from PACS and Lobbiests, and was from years of fund raising. It's all spent.

I'm sure few of her voters are going to send in money, because the vast overwhelming majority of her voters don't really care that much whether she or Obama gets the nomination. The motivation just isn't there.

One the other hand, a significant number of Obama supporters do care enough who gets the nomination, and are sending in money as I type.

That's why Obama has money on hand and money coming in, and Hill doesn't.

6. She had to disclose this and the problem that it brings
Everyone knows now and the big donors are not going to put anymore money into it

She didn't win big on Super Tuesday, Obama got more states and more delegates, not a good fund raising line.

It is going to be interesting to watch

Oh, btw Obama donations update: $6,318,529 from the time the polls closed Feb 5, to 11:20 pm Feb 6th

That is record breaking, that is momentum, that is the power of the people with a leader they trust and believe in. A Grassroots Movement for change.

It is something the Clintons never had, never will have, cannot understand and certainly cannot beat.

Good Night!

7. She's required to disclose it on her FEC quarterly report, right?
Has hers been released?

9. yes
she has to eventually disclose it, but didn't want it to be something she "hid" for 3 months, so they waited until after Super Tuesday to disclose it as early as possible, but without it being known on Super Tuesday.
