Obama has Saturday Contests Wired: Virgin Islands, LA, WA and NE
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 12:59 AM by Dems Will Win
LA, NE and WA are all Obama Country. He will win all 3. NE Ben Nelson endorsed Obama and has the only machine there so like Alaska and Idaho, the NE Caucus is a lock, like Kansas was. WA is out of reach for Clinton and so is LA. Virgins Islands is 80% black. Her only hope would have been Maine on Sunday but that is a caucus and Obama has Maine organized as usual.

Still Maine is her only shot.

Then the Potomac Round contests are also great for Obama, MD, DC and VA. MD and DC are Obama locks so he can focus on VA where Governor Tim Kaine's machine will be his!

Clinton might have to drop out by March 6th if she doesn't win TX or OH, neither of which is likely unless she spends a lot more personal bucks in a futile attempt to beat a phenomenon.

1. I don't know about LA.
Hillary has done well in state bordering Arkansas so far.

5. LA is 32% AA vote, 3% Hispanic
Will be like Alabama. He has TV up, she has none, good indicator.

13. I think not so easy. LA is a closed primary. That's big trouble for Obama.
Clinton has been carrying the Dem vote pretty handily, and Obama doesn't seem to do well without the crossover and indies.

9. This is a discussion board. Should I talk about the weather?
Obama is now the prohibitive favorite as Clinton is out of $$ and can only take about 5 of the next 24 contests.

12. True, but Obama needs to work on Wisconsin some based on demographics there
I read an article earlier today that said that Wisconsin is Hillary's best chance of a victory before Texas and Ohio vote. The demographics there just aren't in Obama's favor compared to the rest of the states voting in the next month.
