Supporting Hillary Clinton for president.
According to all the polling data, are we not statistically improbable?
They say that Hillary Clinton doesn't appeal to young voters or African-Americans. They say that Hillary Clinton appeals to women mostly in their mid-30s and those over 65. They say that she appeals mostly to blue-collar workers. I'm clearly not that, as I work in new media as a web and multimedia developer. I'm a new father -- my son is still wet behind-the-ears. My wife: 21 years old, a young mother, and Caucasian. She has rheumatoid arthritis. I cannot purchase health insurance for her. She supports Hillary Clinton because of her stance on women and children's issues, and, yes, health care as well.
Hillary Clinton inspires my wife and I because we believe she has clear ideas, and, better yet, she has a road map for getting us where we need to go. Not pontifications of "hope and change," while lacking in plans to take care of all Americans -- people like my wife who would more likely not be covered under his health care plan because of a pre-existing condition. We don't like that his campaign is engaging in dirty Republican tricks. We don't like that Michelle Obama had to try to back-pedal on supporting Hillary Clinton (should she win the nomination) after saying she'd "have to think about it."
So, make no mistake. My wife and I support Hillary Clinton. We support her as enthusiastically and pragmatically as Obama supporters support their candidate of choice.
EDIT TO ADD: "... as Obama supporters support their candidate of choice."
