4. Duh. But that isn't what's going to happen. She's going to win.
She's won all the big states, which means A LOT in the election and to the party. California was a huge prize.

6. The only reason I ask is because many
of us are acting so divided on here and I hope that we really are not

7. Good gawd yes
I think it's petty to not vote for the democratic nominee just because a person's chosen candidate doesn't win. I think if people would just step back, take a deep breath, and look at the two candidates objectively, they'd realize these two are not that different.

Who the hell wants a republican appointing more people to the Supreme Court? Who the hell wants 100+ years in Iraq and more wars (as McCain has said)?

As another poster's sig line says (paraphrasing): I'd vote for a dead cat if it was the nominee.

9. Yes of course. A Democrat who is good on some issues is better than a Republican
who is bad on all or nearly all issues. Plus a Democratic president isn't likely to veto good bills passed by a Democratic Congress, so we would no longer have gridlock or vetoes on things like healthcare for children.

11. I would expect the Hillary voters to support Obama....
but I'm not at all sure Obama supporters would reciprocate. I believe they'd just stay home and not vote. He's attracted many new, young voters, and if Obama were to lose the nomination I think they'd just give up and not vote at all.
Hillary's support comes mostly from older voters who are notorious for voting whatever the circumstances. Not so, the young. Just sayin'.

13. Don't be so sure.
A lot of them may be depressed and disillusioned if he doesn't get the nom, but when they are reminded of what the stakes are--either Hillary or four more years of Repug rule and what that would mean--they are fools if they don't vote for her, and I think most of them can be persuaded of that.

I only hope the same can be said of some of Hillary's faithful if Obama gets the nom. I hope they will not be so piqued that they absolutely cannot bring themselves to vote for that "cult leader" as the meme has it. Because if that's the case, we could all end up worse off for it.

17. Given the execrable behavior of Obama's supporters here, I'm sure many will refuse to vote for him.

I hasten to say I will vote for the Democratic nominee.
