Take the pledge: "I will support WHOEVER our nominee is"
Let's find out who the real democrats are. My first choice is out of the race, and I was heartbroken. I've got misgivings about my second choice, and even more about my third.

HOWEVER. There is a real, quantifiable difference between between even the worst democratic candidate in the race, and the best republican. Anyone who can't see that is either delusional or a retugh. This is very possibly the most important election in 50 years (and we blew that one with infighting). There has never in my life been a time when it was as crucial to have a DEMOCRAT in the White House. For two reasons, at least.

1. The war. Both candidates want to end it, though the details differ. The rethugs LOVE this war.

2. AT LEAST TWO SUPREME COURT JUSTICES! (maybe three) This is, long-term, the huge one. The next president will have a chance to re-balance the court. The constitution has been ripped in half these past eight years, let's get a president who at least want to preserve the halves. The next president's court appointments will influence our civil rights for the next twenty years. And either of our candidates would nominate good ones. Whereas a rethug pres will press the court further to the right, further away from the BILL OF RIGHTS, guaranteed.

So who's willing to pony up and pledge to support WHOEVER we nominate, even if they are our second, third, or fourth choice?

If you're not, you are not a democrat, you are not a liberal, you are not a progressive. You are, in fact, either an idiot, a child, or a troll. Vanity votes for Nader, or not voting at all, border on the criminal.

I do solemnly swear that I will vote, support, and campaign for the democratic ticket this year, even if it's not the one I wanted. So help me God.

The stakes are high, the choices are stark, are you in, or are you out?

1. Naturally.
I've never had misgivings over the nominee, even if it looks like the one who is going to be the nominee expects my votes guaranteed.

2. I'm in
Any other decision borders on insanity. Four more years of Republican rule and this country will be a wreck.

3. I can't imagine a scenario where someone is nominated that I won't support
I'm supporting Obama, but if he were to drop out, my checkbook would be out and my bumper sticker replaced with a Hillary one the next day.

10. Absolutely....
8 or even 4 more years of "business as usual" in Iraq and on the American economic front is not an option. It's time to put the Republican party FAR into minority status so they can't constantly halt Democratic ideas.

11. I support Obama, but would vote for Clinton if I have to.
I wouldn't be enthusiastic about it, but the alternative is unthinkable.
