Wow the vitriol here today has reached insane levels.
Post after post that Obama supporters are a cult. The desperation is reaching critical mass.

4. I doubt it, and you certainly haven't given evidence of that being true
not to mention that you are a gleeful Obama basher yourself. Hardly surprising you'd make the claim you did.

2. It seems to be driven by the MSM
It's funny how so many idiot pundits like Klein and Tapper come out with articles on the same day with the same topic.

I guess it has to do with the tremendous fundraising effort by Obama.

10. It is amazing...
Spamming the board with trash talk. It seems the same handful of posters are very consistent in spamming the board with the regurgitation of daily talking points. I don't know why this can not be accomplished without the incendiary derogatory language, relished by so many.

6. Thanks
I think the "cult thing" is over the top as a critique of Obama's campaign

I will admit though, as a matter of course, I react strongly against 'personality" driven messages.

Now saying this, I'm not saying Obama is only 'personality'. There is substance behind it.

But --his method of delivery--is a huge turn off to me, and something I'll just have to get used to I suppose.

It works well for him, though, for me, it has the opposite of the intended effect.

7. I have no problem with that
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:10 AM by Egnever
I called one of my best friends from High school the other day to ask if he was voting. He is a republican and I wanted to know where he stood with the craptastic field they have. He told me he voted for Duncan Hunter :eyes:. Then proceeded to tell me he wouldn't vote for the preacher(Obama) LOL.

Some people obviously are adversely affected by his speaking style. I can live with that. I don't think its a good reason to chose a candidate but I don't have a problem with it adding to the list.

8. "... reaching critical mass.'' A Good thing
When everybody's spent their anger, maybe folks will calm down from the hysteria, and get back to being semi-rational human beings.

11. Small number of posters responsible for it.
My ignore list means I never see them. It's great. Seriously.

Their posts are meaningless with the only purpose to flame and enrage. They sway no one's opinion in a positive direction and create bad karma for themselves and the readers of them.

Use the ignore list and don't read threads they start.

12. that is what I thought when I first logged on- I think the
first 12 posts were some kind of Obama=bad variation.

I've been looking around at the news to see what brought this on- but didn't really find anything.

This primary season is unnaturally long- and the last 7+ yrs have been nearly unbearable.

I'm trying to see the ugliness through those qualifiers.

peace~
