time to rebuild our divided party..
let me start with why I voted for Obama, I think he can be the Abraham Lincoln of the Democratic Party. it was also a hard vote to cast, Obama is black and I was worried about what other whites would think of me. that is racist, but it is impossible to defeat racism unless we can challenge it within ourselves!

I'm asking every Obama voter to list some reasons they think Hillary Clinton would be a great President, and to list some flaws with Barack Obama. I am asking every Clinton voter to list some flaws with Hillary, and to name some reasons they think Barack Obama would make a great President. let all of the attacks on Obama come from the Obama voters, let all of the reasons to support Obama come from the Clinton voters. let all the attacks on Hillary Clinton come from the Clinton voters, and let all of the reasons to support her come from the Obama voters.

Obama's flaws are in his base. he still needs to prove he can win enough white votes both inside the Democratic Party and outside to win in November. He doesn't support the repeal of all the Bush tax cuts needed to reduce the deficit or balance the budget. and he has no mandate to purchase health insurance in his plan, which in the long run results in people waiting to buy health insurance when they become sick. and Obama has won 1 statewide election. Hillary has won two statewide elections in New York. She can win over Republican women who have dreamed of having a woman as President. She would eliminate No Child Left Behind. she would restore funding for stem cell research..which could lead to cures for Cancer, Diabetes, and even Alzheimer's. and she opposes troop increases in Iraq.

this reminds me of an experience I had at a Hillary rally. both Obama and Clinton supporters were there, every time the Obama supporters cheered for their candidate, the Clinton backers cheered for Hillary. it was a powerful experience not just for one side or the other, but for all Democrats who attended. You don't know the power of an Obama and Hillary ticket until you hear the enthusiasm for these candidates on both sides and watch the bad blood disappear. the attacks and insults from both sides will continue, but I posted this to give the supporters of two great candidates a chance to support the other side!

1. Major Problem
Major problem... a once in a life time chance for either of the candidates to be the FIRST.

First President of Color whoose supporters mandate that their candidate tries to change the way politics are played in our USA

First Female President of an ex impeached President ... sorry couldnt help myself

No ones going to give ... This MUST be won outright in the primary by either candidate.

But will the superdelegates at the convention decide to subvert the efforts of the movement for change? I have a feeling the fix is already in.

I submit that Billary 08 will cajole or pigeon hole his former party member underlings to "follow your old leader". Loyalty to the party must trump the mandate for change. Besides new and fresh ideas are bad, scarry... The old ways are the best, stay with what we have. Paranoid? Conspiracy? No... If Sen Obama's supporters thinks he was not given a fair playing field to compete on.. these will be some of the talking points.

When that happens.... and I submit that it will. All bets will be off. Does anyone think that these newley registered and independent voters are card carrying "My democratic party right or wrong.. follow me" types? Sen Obama being a Party loyalist will make the plea to his supporters to unite behind Billary 08... my guess is that few will follow...
