30. She gave #2 in 2004.
The media hyped her - the Kerry campaign hyped her. She gave an infinitely forgettable speech without a single quotable quote.

And no one remembers it.

47. You're right.
I don't remember it. And I don't think her speech endorsing Obama was all that special either.

3. Rule #1:
If Obama gets the nomination, it should be a woman.

If Hillary gets the nomination, it should be an African-American.

Seems a reasonable enough rule.

Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

But srsly...should be someone relatively new, with a good base of support and great upside for the future. I'm gonna be a homer and suggest either John Lynch (current NH governor) or Jeanne Shaheen (former NH governor, gearing up to knock John Sununu out of the Senate)

Usually the keynote goes to a newcomer, ala Barack Obama in 2004.

He would rival Mo Udall for most laughs by a keynote.

41. What a good question. How about --
Barbara Boxer?

Or many of the great suggestions already posted. Edwards, Schweitzer, Caroline Kennedy...

Possibly Elizabeth Holtzman. I bet she would have the delegates' attention.

Russ Feingold might be a good choice.

Ted Strickland.

46. Medea Benjamin.
Cynthia McKinney.
Cindy Sheehan.

Those are three of my favorite political women.

If those won't suit, try:

Barbara Boxer
Barbara Lee
Jesse Jackson
Feingold
Wexler

What do you think the likelihood that ANY of my favorite Democrats would be invited to deliver the keynote address? :eyes:
