A notice from HRC campaign re fundraising
You exceeded our $3 million goal in less than 24 hours. In fact, we've already hit FOUR MILLION DOLLARS! Incredible! And so far, more than 35,000 people -- 35,000! -- have made online contributions.

Your response has been so amazing that we are doubling our goal: $6 million in 72 hours.

Super Tuesday Victory Generates More than $4 Million Online in Single Day

The Clinton campaign today announced that it raised more than $4 million online in the day after polls closed on Super Tuesday. It was Hillary’s biggest single day of contributions since the campaign’s launch.

The campaign had set a goal of raising $3 million in three days -- and exceeded its target in less than 24 hours. The new goal is $6 million in 72 hours.

"We are gratified for this tremendous outpouring of support," said Clinton Campaign Internet Director Peter Daou. "From over a million volunteer hours to millions of dollars in contributions from thousands of online donors across the country, Sen. Clinton's grassroots support is a key part of her campaign's success."

In the past 48 hours, more than 35,000 donors have contributed to the campaign, helping Hillary keep pace with the combined fundraising power of Sen. Obama’s campaign, MoveOn, and Sen. Kerry’s 3 million person email list - to which Sen. Obama now has access.

7. Hillary has the power of a Former President
numerous women's groups, and a national structure she's been putting together for over two years. She squandered $118 million dollars. Whining about Obama's support from 'the loser' John Kerry and the 'lefty loons' Moveon is a joke.

Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 01:43 PM by Araxen
Let's see them do that all the time. These are nothing more than pitty donations, imo. If they keep coming back like Obama supporters do we may a nice fight on our hands the rest of the month.

34. Donations = Paying HRC Aides!!! GOOD WORK!! more money needed for campaigning
the donations made mean those working for HRC don't have to go without pay in Feb

Keep donating so she can campaign too!!

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/02/07/clinton-campaign-aides-will-be-paid/

Updated Terry McAuliffe, the national chairman for the Clinton campaign, is reporting right now on a conference call with the campaign’s finance committee that the campaign has raised $7.5 million online in the first week February, with about $6.4 million of that in the last 24 or 30 hours.

The Clinton campaign is in an arms race for money with Senator Barack Obama, who has raised $7.6 million since Tuesday and is expecting an additional $320,000 so far from MoveOn.org.

Because of the flood of donations over the last two days, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s staff members will be receiving their salaries for February after all, campaign officials said.
