Clinton will win swing voters because she is better on defense than McCain. Obama would be destroyed
on national defense issues. They turned anti-war war hero Kerry into a feminine elite windsurfer. They will have a field day with anti-war Obama.

Anti-war is a loser in presidential races especially in the same decade as 9/11.

Swing voters will vote for a candidate who wants to get out of Iraq but voted for the IWR over 100 years McCain. They will vote for McCain over any "anti-war" candidate like Obama.

"Anti-War" is the opposite of "patriot" in presidential races.

4. Disagree, but he can remedy that if necessary by picking Webb, Clark, or Biden
for running mate.

7. Besides, these smears can be combatted if the candidate is articulate
and willing to do battle. Easy, actually, to frame the issue the way it should be framed because repubs have been on the wrong side of issues for a long while. Any of us could write an effective response to a GOP candidate using fear as a tactic again and for the 100th time.

5. oh, little merkin, you are so wrong
for one thing, and it's quite unfair, she's got a strike against her simply because she's a woman. Secondly, Obama isn't anti-war, but anti-Iraq war-= huge fucking difference. His position on Iraq is quite close to hers. Obama is not Kerry and as you poor pitiful thing should realize, he fights back hard- look what he's done to your girl. Indies hate Clinton almost as much as repukes do- and it's a visceral thing. You are full of it as always.

:hi:

6. she sure hasn't proved it in the primaries that she can win independents
Meanwhile Obama has shown improvements in his base among white voters, women, and even hispanics--he has a ways to go with them, but he can do it.

" she is better on defense than McCain." How does this guy take himself out of context? I can see/hear it now...the RW talkers hate McCain because he is weak on defense compared to HRC!! You gotta be kidding.

12. McCain is an ex POW war hero of the highest degree - Neither
Hillary or Barack will win on defense against him. Not to mention he's a war monger; if 2008 is about national security and defense say hello to 4 more republican years.

If the election is about the economy either dem candidate will win.

If it's about Iraq, only Obama can beat McCain. Hillary voting for the war but against the "seemingly working" surge will be an open and shut flip flopper, no spine, etc.. etc..
