David Schuster asks if the Clinton's are "pimping out" Chelsea
His point is that she's campaigning and wants to know why he can't interview her by sticking a microphone in her face.

His point was valid. His phrasing was horrible. (He did while sitting in for the Carlson boy.)

62. John McCain has a daughter campaigning for him but not doing interviews...
...with the press, as far as I've seen.

But David Schuster won't ask if John McCain is "pimping" her, because he's a Republican.

No, I don't think we need to do that at all. He's generally reliable as a truth teller. I actually think he said it without thinking. That is NOT to excuse it. It was vile. But I think calling for his ouster would not be in **our** best interest .... as if anybody even cares what we think!

She sued that restaurant. That's a fact. But what on earth does it have to do with someone asking if she's being pimped?

What would you post if someone asked if Michelle Obama was being pimped?

I am completely neutral in the candidate wars. This thread was about a horrible phrasing on national cable teevee by a guy who we on the left tend to trust.

54. I suggest we all complain to MSNBC, but stop short of calling for
Schuster's job. If it were me, I'd be satisfied with an on-air apology, but that's up to Chelsea Clinton.
I also think the Clintons should let Chelsea handle this and should stay out of it themselves.

Incidentally, I think Schuster's implication that it was her parents' decision that Chelsea not talk to the press, rather than Chelsea's personal choice, is almost as offensive as the "pimping out" abomination itself.

Finally, when I write to MSNBC I plan to tell them that I read about this incident on a blog, because I no longer watch MSNBC myself, Keith included.

58. He is absolutely right,
the Clinton's are surrounded by pimps, keep a close eye at Clinton's
friends and you will find your answer.

Almost each and everyone of the Clinton's acquaintances have history,
a fucking 'bum rap' and they expect to cry, cheat, lied and
bamboozled their way to WH.

:puke:

61. Heck, Perky polled DU some days ago to ask if Bill was pimping out Hillary.
I doubt you'll find much support among the Hillary haters here.

I don't understand why NBC hates Hillary so much? Are they afraid of Clintons?

76. It's those types of moments that are fueling Hillary's support
and the idiots who can't stop themselves from saying sexist and crude things about her and her familty will propell her into the White House come November.
