I don't have Obama fever.
I am going to vote for him on Tuesday, but it isn't because I'm swept up in anything.*

Even though I don't feel caught up in a movement myself, I appreciate his ability to energize and inspire people who haven't been involved in politics in the past. It is very hard to convert enthusiasm into votes (*cough*Howard Dean*cough*) and if Obama can do so, more power to him.

If Hillary gets the nomination, I'll open my checkbook and switch out my bumper sticker the next day. Both she and Obama will make much better presidents than McCain and I'll be happy to support either. But I think Obama will have a slightly better chance of beating McCain, so I'm on board his train.

*Not that anybody really cares what I'm doing, but hell, this thread isn't any more trivial than anything else in GDP.

2. I don't either.
But I think he is a very good candidate. I just haven't been moved by him or his campaign. It happens. Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't.

3. Just to feel better try this:
Watch this youtube video and then get "dreams of my father' Obama's book. At least you will be proud of the good human being he is. The rest is a crap shoot anyway...

The speech from which it was inspired:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe751kMBwms

"We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant ...........
We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope."
