My Talking Points

(PDF)
Hillary is the most qualified candidate to be President of the United States. She’s ready to step in now and take charge; to change the direction here at home and restore American leadership around the world.

Hillary Clinton is ready to be President on day one in the Oval Office. She has the experience, strength and wisdom it will take to achieve healthcare for all, end the war in Iraq, and grow our economy.

Hillary has met with over 82 world leaders, and spent over 30 years working on policies to help families, women and children. Hillary knows we are stronger and more secure when we have allies, not foes. She will effectively restore America’s respect in the world and get our allies to work with us.

Hillary cares is ready to lead on all the issues we as young people care about. She has a progressive agenda that includes a plan to make healthcare universal, increasing the minimum wage, protecting a woman’s right to choose, addressing global warming, achieving energy independence and promoting environmental justice. She recently released a plan to
make college affordable for all Americans, and has a comprehensive plan for ending the war in Iraq.

Being President is always a tough job. It has gotten even tougher because of the mistakes in judgment and failed policies of the last seven years. We don’t have any time to waste.

Hillary is battle-tested and ready to take command now: she knows how the Congress works; she knows how the White House works; and she already has the respect of leaders around the world.

I support Hillary because_________. (Tell YOUR story about your experience with Hillary and why you support her. Have you seen her speak about the issues important to you and your family? Did she gain your support when you learned of her work to expand health insurance to cover all children? Or when you saw her demand that the Department of Defense provide the body armor our soldiers need? Are you particularly concerned about the need for more research on Alzheimer’s or autism or another disease, and know of Hillary’s leadership?)

Hillary Clinton is smart, effective, respected, and ready – she’s the leader we need!

(emphasis added in bold)

Bow down to Hillary!

1. When Hillary talks about upstate New York and the rural area-
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 08:20 PM by libertee
she KNOWS about upstate NY and the rural areas...she has done her homework...whether you like her talking style or not...she has the facts at her fingertips and cuts through the fancy words to say exactly where we are hurting and what we need...Jobs for the upstate (technology, industry) and support and aid for the rural communities...Remember she is a relative newcomer herein the state, even though she's our senator. She and Chuck Schumer have done a marvelous job representing us in the Senate. I am sure she could and would do this for the country..The facts she is able to "intake" and put into practical application are impressive.

2. Hillary pulled my grandmother from a burning building.
Granny lived on the 16th floor of a high-rise retirement home. One of the residents went to sleep with her bun warmer on set the place ablaze. Granny has poor vision and couldn't see the smoke, nor could she smell it. By the time anyone realized she was trapped in her apartment, the flames were too great for the fire department. Hillary and Chelsea were out walking their dog when they saw the flames. Granny was hanging out the window screaming while all the Obama supporters were standing around laughing and chanting, "Jump! Jump!"

Hillary kicked off her shoes, ran to the building, and scaled up the side with her bare hands and feet. She grabbed Granny and put her on her back, put her wheelchair in her teeth, and scaled back down the side of the building to a wild, adoring throng. All the Obama supporters were cheering and held her on their shoulders as they carried her around for 20 minutes.

And that's why I love Hillary.

4. "... because the other most viable candidate has pandered to religious bigots,
and has categorically defined me as a 'sinner'. I guess he decided their votes would matter more than mine. He might even be right. But I'm going with the person who reaches out to me and mine, rather than the one who sells us out."
