How come no one ever apologized to me about Gore NOT running?

everyone was like "he's going to run" and I was like... "he said he wasn't going to" and everyone was like... "he's just waiting for the right time" and then everyone started swearing at everyone and the mods started deleting everything. But now, months later, I've realized that no one ever apologized even though I was 100% right.
