Why is Hillary leading among all of these demographic groups?
Whites
Latinos
Asians
Jews
GLBT

Among all of these groups she has a big lead, except among whites and even there she had a huge lead until Edwards, who was tied with Obama among whites, dropped out and most of his support moved to Obama. Are all these groups racist? Or do they see something in Hillary those who view her as an evil caricature don't see?

6. Duers and most folks on the netroots do
Blacks supported her too until the Clintons were swiftboated on race. She went from leading among blacks to losing 88-12 among blacks in Georgia after that exhibition of a politics of hope and unity.

I think some closeted tendencies are coming out here. You might want to be careful.

17. What is the history of racial politics?
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 10:24 PM by jackson_dem
When the race card is injected some blacks rally to the black and some whites to the white. Any serious political observer would know this. How do you explain Obama going from losing among blacks to winning 80-19-1 in South Carolina in a matter of weeks? His record didn't change. Nor did the records of his opponents.

33. you said the Clintons were "swiftboated on race" - if anything, they "swiftboated" themselves
and any respectable liberal critic has made it abundantly clear that it was the Clintons that brought racial references into the race. I know you don't want to believe this, but that's how it happened. For you to infer the Clintons are victims here is to somehow insinuate the blacks are too obtuse to understand the real score. The Clintons laid the bait and they were called on it.

35. It wasn't the Clintons who said "we need whites to solidify" and "whites should wake up"
The Obamas brought race into the campaign months before any vote had been cast.

40. I am denying that your false assertions and interpretations of what
what said is true. I am backed up by respectable liberal analyses in the press. You are backed up by the people that want to call names and talk trash about "cults", "koolaid drinkers", and "handshake snubgates". I will take my chances with the scholars, consider me risk averse.

15. Obamites playing the racist! if you don't drink the kool aid card again
Latinos, and now Asian, are being tarred and feathered by Obamite thugs as racist for voting for Hillary and not St. Obama. This list shows Hillary is the choice of most groups. Only a fool would think all of the groups listed above are racist.

18. Wow, how on earth can you take jackson's post as being an insult to black voters?
If anything, it's a compliment to Hillary for proving she doesn't have a racial bone in her beautiful body. Neither does Bill. There's a reason black voters, as well as other ethnicities love the Clintons....it's because the Clintons have done so much good on all their behalf. Obama is getting most of the black vote this time, but that isn't because black people don't still like Bill and Hillary. It's because they just like Obama a little better right now.

Dam she's pretty

25.  All I can tell you
is that Hillary has only one endorsement from ONE tribal council (which does not speak for the tribe as a whole. OTOH, Obama has the endorsement of the two major native newspapers in this country, and as a traditional native who has feelers all over Indian Country throughout the U.S., Hillary has virtually no support amongst traditionals.

Might tell your pollsters to stop forgetting about a segment of the population here.

I am going by national polls by national firms. I agree they need to include all groups. Asians are rarely included and Latinos are sometimes excluded too.
