romney said something to the effect of, "The average salary of someone working in government is higher than someone working in the private sector. It's a sorry state when a bureaucrat makes more money than someone working in a private sector job."
His facts are correct his spin misses the point:
1. The largest private sector employer is Wal-mart. If Wal-mart paid real wages than this would not be an issue. But they pay crappy wages and people make very little money.
2. The republikkans have fought raising the minimum wage, which has enabled companies like Wal-mart to depress wages.
3. Outsourcing has sent a considerably high number of good paying jobs out of the country without replacing them with good paying jobs.
4. Public sector employees include Teachers. The US continues to underpay teachers, which even many refucklikkans concede.
5. Definition of Bureaucrat from Harry Truman, "A bureaucrat is just a Democrat that holds a job a republican wants."
I know he understands the BS he was shoveling, but it will probably never be examined by the MSM as such
