Taylor Marsh: Keith Olbermann = Partisan Hack
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 10:59 PM by Zueda
As I've said before, Keith Olbermann remains on my watch list. However, there is no doubt that much of his coverage on Clinton and Obama has turned into cringe worthy tv. Eugene Robinson is a Clinton hater of the first order. Maybe he's a nice guy, but for analysis he's just plain dreadful.

EDIT: I wonder if her boyfriend and MSNBC contributor, Craig Crawford, agrees with her analysis?

39. Unless you're actually paying attention, in which case it's observable fact.
Olbermann has a deep and pronounced bias against Hillary which is both observable and documented.

34. Obama is running the same kind of sleaze campaign Bush ran
claiming to be 'above the fray' while endless slime was slung in his name. Obama has many people doing his dirty work for him, Olberman is just one of many.

Smear campaign by proxy

2> When KO doesn't like someone he doesn't pull punches.

If she gets the Dem nod, He'll vote for her.

half his viewers are Hillary supporters, and anyone with any sense isn't going to change their mind because he doesn't like her.

20. I didn't see it as Bill's ugly behavior. What I saw was BO
attacking and lying and Bill speaking out about it. It's ashame that people who were his supporters would turn on him. How many Presidents would move their office to Harlem?

he now hates her. I believe he was never Pro Hillary or that he hates her. But he is definitely backing another horse in this race and sometimes he skirts that non-bias/bias line pretty damn close.

They can rest easy though. They have Bill Press...

26. Your Logic Is Flawed
In both cases you have media personalities using the power of their media to verbally rape politicians...In Limbagh's case you have the medicated, impotent, and corpulent one verbally raping McCain and in Olbermann's case you have Olbermann verbally raping Hillary...

In the current instance you have Clinton supporters bemoaning Obermann's lack of objectivity but in Rush's case his listeners are providing him with hosannas...

32. Dem usually you are one of the objective
Hillary supporters. I watch Olbermann every night and do not see any evidence of "Olbermann verbally raping Hillary". Please supply some evidence. Now if you used Matthews ... I would agree.

35. It Was Hyperbole
But the poster was mixing apples and oranges... Rush is criticizing McCain and getting hosannas from his audience...K O is criticizing Hillary and getting criticized by her supporters...

You can't compare the power of Rush to the power of Clinton's passionate supporters on this board...

KO used to be objective about Hillary...Now, he's as bad as Scarborough, Mika, and Matthews, imho...

I literally can not watch him anymore...

He had a guest on last night and the both of them were saying Hill was the loser on Super Tuesday when any objective analyst would say it was a "push" at best...

7. Heh, KO was the only media figure with the guts to speak out against bush
for a long time...everyone loved him.
Suddenly he doesn't like Hillary, and he's a partisan hack.
After the swiftboating of Ted Kennedy and John Kerry on Super Tuesday by Duer's, i'd say it seems we have a taste for devouring our own.

most progressives ... praised his poignant analysis and the depth of his arguments. Now he says something you don't agree with and he is a Hack...

My fellow progressives... use ad hominems at your own peril... if Olbermann supported hillary... I would listen... to his arguments... i might not agree but I wouldn't attack him... please stop these cantankerous attacks... we do it at our own peril.

38. He is the one MSNBC people who actually LIKES Obama. Still, it's improper for
any journalist to show that so much - to the point of acting like a surrogate for the campaign. The others on MSNBC pretend to like Obama - just to stick it to Hillary. That's the difference. They are all boosting one campaign. trying to bury another.

41. Well you can counterbalance Keith with pseudo-journalist David Schuster and his wife.
She just did an "Obama hit piece" implying that the entire state of Louisana will not vote for him because he DARE add hot sauce on his food.

My husband was born and raised in New Orleans and it's NO SIN to add some more cajun hot sauce ... to any DAMN THING. Someone needs to get the memo to Mrs. Schuster (and ask MSNBC why they partake in shameless nepotism?).

I've not EVER heard David Schuster say anything thoughtful about Obama. Schuster seemingly *seethes* when he discusses "all things Obama" ... and Schuster's HATE shows on the screen.

If Olberman is biased AGAINST HRC, then let me suggest Schuster is RABIDLY AGAINST Obama.

Bottom Line: MSNBC cable news is VOMIT. :puke:
